A little History on TRSC Aquatics
TRSC Aquatics has been delivering results since we opened in 2019. Our goal is to provide both a superior customer experience and tremendous value for our customers.
Tristian & Kevin has over 25 years of combined experience in Reefkeeping & Aquaculture and is passionate about exceeding your expectations.
We are also passionate about combating the skyrocketing prices of corals available to the hobbyist alienating many from ever starting. Part of our philosophy is to think as a hobbyist first and then as a business. As such we strive to only charge what we feel corals are worth and what we would pay for them ourselves.
TRSC consists of 2 facilities. The first is our Signature Growout facility where we take special care of the colonies and corals that comprise our signature series.
Signature Corals Location #1
These corals are usually unique to the hobby or are hard to come by mutations. Naturally we keep a close eye on this location. It is also the only location we have available for fellow hobbyists to visit or purchase corals direct.
This location consists of approximately 500 Gallons of pure coral love with an emphasis on SPS and LPS. Much of it is filtered by redundant Diablo Skimmers & Reef Octopus Calcium Reactors. We consider this a base of operations and anything unique that makes its way to the site was first introduced here.
Care and Growth
TRSC Aquatics strives to re-create as much of the ocean as we can. We feel that it is an important necessary part of our business in order to provide the best specimens available.
At both of our grow-out facilities we employ Skimmers, Ocean Sourced Live Rock, Phytoplankton dosing daily and natural predators. Our Aquaculture and Growout facility cycled for over 7 months before a single specimen was introduced into the tanks. By this time many of our tanks had grown impressive amounts of introduced Coralline algae on many of the surfaces consuming an astounding amount of Calcium and Alkalinity. We use this consumption as a baseline and adjust our consumption regularly as stock increases and decreases. Fun Fact is that our aquaculture facility regularly went through 5 Gallons of mixed Calcium and Alkalinity weekly before we switched over to calcium reactors and dosers.
