If you’ve never volunteered with a shelter or rescue, you may not know that we come to feel about these pets like we feel about our own pets at home.

It hurts our hearts to see them get passed over for other pets, especially when it’s based strictly on appearance. We see it all the time, our hearts sinking, when a dog or cat we know is amazing gets so little attention or interest.

Angel is one of those dogs. She’s “average” looking to most people, but to us she’s so beautiful. This dog is so desperate to be with a loving human it actually brings tears to our eyes writing this. In her kennel she’s very anxious because she absolutely cannot understand why she’s in the shelter and why no one wants her. When we take her out, she’s wonderful to spend time with.

Angel is SO sweet, loves walks, plays fetch, is easy going and affectionate. Above all she really just wants to be with people. If you want a best friend who will adore you, it’s Angel.

Coco! She was spicy as hell but still a good girl. She has passed over the rainbow bridge last night. She was loved by her family and her groomer. Coco you will be missed and remembered. Rest in peace my girl.
