HELP !!

The ponies are eating sooo much hay and haylage at the moment and we are trying to fundraise to keep those tummies full ! Can you help us ?

We are running low on donations of items to sell at Online Auctions and also Raffle Prizes and so if you are able to donate any of these items we would really appreciate it ! If you are local to Callington we can collect or if you are further afield and happy to post to the winner/highest bidder (we will refund the postage) - please do get in touch

An example of Items we need could be Tack Items or Rider Wear, unwanted Christmas Gifts, Vouchers, Clothing, Books or Bric a Brac.

If you are a local business that would like to donate a voucher or Prize we would love to hear from you

Well scrolling through my photos they are all pretty rubbish apart from this little shining star Alice ! She is just so friendly and makes me smile everyday! So we have been very busy this week as we are moving ponies in order to rest the land here and so this means taking down and putting up Electric Fencing again. This field has sustained the ponies for a good 7 months which has been brilliant. I actually like land this time of year when the grass slows up and there is less to worry about ! (As long as it's not raining & muddy of course!). We also are reorganizing fencing/grazing at the main yard. Duncan helped us by bashing in a row of wooden fence posts. We managed to get a few ponies out for walks too. Next week looks busy too !!

We currently have a Vacancy for a Temporary Part Time Yard Assistant. (16 hours)

Hours to be worked over 4 /5 days (this is negotiable) , with 1 split shift and 1 weekend day.

We are looking for a person who is experienced in Caring for Equines with a Level 2 Qualification in Equine or Animal Care who is looking to gain experience working for a small charity and to assist with day to day running of the yard.

Please note there are 2 sites to cover on a daily basis and so your own transport will be required.

Cornwall Animal Welfare is celebrating our 4th Anniversary of helping to support small independent animal rescues, which are based in the Duchy of Cornwall.
As part of the celebrations, starting this Monday at 10 am., we will be holding a HALF PRICE CLOTHING SALE.
