We place cats who are unadoptable due to chronic illness into forever foster. We pay all medical expenses and people who would otherwise not be able to afford a pet get a loving companion. Lucy is one of those cats. She and Ally are really close to each other. We pay Lucy's expenses and Ally gives her tons love and daily nebulizer treatments to help with her chronic upper respiratory symptoms.
Ally would love to take Lucy out on walks in a stroller where she won't be upset by other animals. And we're looking for a donor willing to buy Lucy a durable stroller.
Might you be that donor?

Olive is a 17 week old kitten in need of foster.
Would anyone like to foster her and get her out of a cage at the sanctuary?
17-week old Olive has been with us long enough to complete quarantine and get her initial vetting but not long enough to get spayed. That means she's not ready to be adopted yet. But she needs a foster or she'll end up spending Christmas in a cage. No fun!
Who wants a (foster) kitten for Christmas?

is looking for a ! Have no pets? Want just one very regal cat? Tawny may be the cat for you!
Tawny is a former mother to five kittens who is now prepared to embrace her own adventures. She has striking green eyes and beautiful brown fur. Tawny has recently discovered the joy of and the beauty of human trust. She enjoys attention, gently nudging your hand for a pet or rubbing up against you to show her affection.
Tawny is a lover of leisure, often found lounging around the house, yet she has a playful side that peeks out every so often.
She has her preferred spots for napping, choosing between the softness of the bed and the sunny warmth of a window ledge.
Tawny can be shy at first with new faces and in new places, but give her some time and she will reveal an outgoing personality and affectionate side. She is when approached by familiar faces, and she much prefers the companionship of human pals, preferring to be the only animal in the household.
Tawny's ideal home would be one with a medium energy levels and older kids who can understand her need for space at times - somewhere where she can both relax and play, all while ruling her domain as the one and only queen of the animal castle.

loves her days! Look at that !
was very shy at first but every days gets her "spa treatment" snd gets her fur brushed and she looks forward to it. She is such a . She doesn't really enjoy being held, but will sit next to you and loves to be petted. She is rather quiet but will up a storm when she's happy. She can be nervous in new places and shy around new people, but she warms up with time and is a real sweetheart. Once she gets to know you, she will love being around you.
She is fairly low energy, well mannered and has a demeanor. She prefers to lounge around and hangout and doesn't prefer to play with toys as much. You can often find her napping at the top of the cat tree and on top of the bed when she needs a good snooze. She's a true lady of leisure.
Chantelle is fine around other accepting and gentle cats, but is nervous and afraid of dogs. Loud noises can startle her, so a home with a medium to low energy would be best for her and would allow her to thrive. Once she warms up and gets comfortable, her affectionate nature will shine through and she'll be the perfect cozy companion.

Introducing , a fun loving with a personality as colorful as her coat. She’s a gal and as clumsy as can be. She’ll play her heart out with no thought for gravity as she zooms around the home.
On the flip side, she’s also a big and will happily let you scoop her up to carry her around.
During Audrey’s playtime adventures, any cat toy that rolls around or bounces will be an absolute favorite, and she especially loves her kitty tunnel. She is quite stealthy too and has mastered the art of hide-and-seek. She blends seamlessly into her surroundings and is excellent at conducting secret missions around the home.
One defining feature about Audrey is that she sneezes a lot. Not to worry though, the vet says there is no concern at all and is good to go. The only real concern about the sneezing is it sometimes gives up Audrey’s hiding spot when she’s on a stealthy mission!
Aside from her sneezes, Audrey is extremely quiet and does not meow unless she’s in a crate. But don't be fooled by the quiet; this gal is and charming, easily making friends with other cats and all sorts of people. Kids? No problem. Strangers? She loves them too! She’s a true social butterfly with lots of s***k.
If you're ready for a cat with oodles of personality and a penchant for the playful, Audrey's your lady. Just leave her to her "zoomies," and you'll have a furry friend for life.

Meet , a kitty with a big heart. She is a , , and who adores being a lap cat. She enjoys getting her fur brushed and receiving gentle head rubs. Marbles is a bit more timid around other cats, and she is only just now beginning to tolerate their presence, but there is room for growth! She’s also learned to coexist peacefully with household technology, like the Roomba.
Marbles faces a unique set of challenges as she is , lacking any sensation or movement in her tail. She struggles with controlling her bladder and bowels, often leaving urine where she lays and occasionally dropping little f***l balls around. Despite these obstacles, she maintains her determination and , unfazed by her condition.
Her day-to-day life may involve some extra care, such as being picked up after, keeping an eye on her tail to prevent injuries, and addressing potential urinary tract infections. However, Marbles is a perfectly functional cat in every other way. She's not bothered by pain and is eager for affection and socialization. To make her feel at home without creating a mess, a room with easy-to-clean sheet vinyl flooring and proximity to the household's activities is essential. She can coexist with other cats that are unfazed and also give her space, but she would also do fine as a singleton getting all the love and attention.
Despite her unique needs and more timid nature around other cats, Marbles is a remarkable cat with much love to give and receive, making her a valuable addition to any household willing to offer her the care and attention she deserves.

Meet , an adorable with a little bit of ! She's a particular lady with a taste for the finer things in life, choosing the loftiest perches for napping and watching the world. When playtime comes around, it's on her terms, and if things don't go her way, she's out!
Lauren is independent and moderately confident. She's a tad "hand-shy," but when she's in the mood, she'll pop up for some face-level attention and sweet head butts. Lauren's all about timing, and she'll let you know when she wants your affection. She's confident in new places, but a bit reserved with new people. If it gets too loud or chaotic, she'll climb up somewhere high to get away and take a moment for herself.
This energetic lady is a pro at night-time adventures, climbing, and playing. She adores boxes, laser pointers, and a little scavenger hunt for hair ties here and there. Finding her for a snuggle can be a real-life game of hide-and-seek; she's usually tucked away in corners and secret spots. Lauren's quiet with her meows, but revs up her purr engine when it's cuddle time.
Lauren is a social butterfly with other kitties and gracefully navigates positive interactions with them. Her only shy moments happen when she’s around strangers, especially if there's a commotion, so a medium energy household would be best for her. If you're seeking a kitty companion with a dash of sass and a lot of charm, Lauren might be your match!

Meet adoptables and , two bonded kitties whose distinct personalities light up any room they enter. Payton was introduced to Melvin when he was needing a buddy in his foster home. While they aren’t biological siblings, these foster brothers and have become a wonderful pair and have brought the best out of each other.
Payton, a grey tabby, is the life of the party with a loving and adventurous spirit. From exploring laundry baskets to curling up beside you, Payton is your go-to cat for both exploration and snuggles. He gets along famously with cats, dogs, and people of all ages. His outgoing, cuddly nature and adorable meow make him an irresistible companion, especially when he's calling for food or attention.
Melvin, also known as , is a tuxedo cat whose charm lies in his round features and happy face. This playful fellow is all about toys, tunnels, and cat trees. His yellow-green eyes sparkle with curiosity, and he's always up for a game of fetch with crinkle balls or feathered toys. Sociable and fearless, Melvin enjoys cozying up when he's tired, meowing gently for some affection.
What makes this duo truly special is how their personalities complement each other. While Payton is the brave explorer, ready for love at anytime, Melvin brings playful energy and a love for toys. They both share an outgoing, social demeanor, making them great additions to homes with other pets or kids. Although Payton is more inclined to be carried around and Melvin prefers his freedom until he winds down, both are very affectionate.
Whether you're seeking an adventurous companion, a playful buddy, or a snuggle bud this duo is a perfect match. If you're looking to double the fun and love in your home, this pair is the perfect pick!

and are a bonded pair of with a goofy and sweet presence.
Tooshka is a grey and white tabby with dark stripes and green eyes. Her unique dark spots under her eyes and nose make her quite the character. When she first arrived, she preferred the quiet of a closet, but soon her sweet and affectionate personality began to show. She now loves sleeping on the bed, sitting in a lap, watching out the window, and playing with pipe cleaners!
Todd, also a grey and white tabby, has noticeable green eyes and a pink nose. She's a big fan of string toys. Whether it's the dancer type, those with a mouse, or feathered variants, she's all in. At her foster home's initial introduction, Todd took a moment, but soon enough, she was exploring and soaking up affection. Belly rubs and playtime? Count her in.
Todd and Tooshka’s favorite game is hide and seek. Closets, boxes, under beds - you name it, they've probably hidden there. As time went on and they got used to their home, spotting them peeking out from hidden spots became a regular, fun occurrence. When they are done playing, they love hanging out with their people and enjoying the peace and quiet.
Todd and Tooshka have had positive experiences with mellow and respectful dogs and can live harmoniously with them, although they are cautious at first. They take a moment to warm up to strangers and new places, but once they are comfortable, this bonded pair has a warm, affectionate, and goofy presence that is sure to light up any home.

The kittens are coming! The kittens are coming! Kitten season never stops in Texas. It barely pauses. And here we go again. Spoon is a pregnant community/colony cat that we took into our program. She is now with a fosterer for the duration. She will have a safe place to birth and raise her babies with a fosterer who knows how to give her the space and privacy a community cat needs to be comfortable while raising kittens. When she is done she will either have come around to the inside way of life or she will be fixed and vaccinated and allowed to return safely outside. We have a handful of fully-vetted adoptable adults who we would love to place with new fosters as easy first fosters. We are also looking for people with fostering experience who would like to foster orphans (bottle babies or weaned), mama and kittens, and/or a pregnant mama with Thundering Paws. If you can open your home and your heart to one of our kitties, please fill out the foster application at www.thunderingpaws.org/foster
We'd like to share a testimonial from one of our Forever Fosterers: "Thank you Thundering Paws for allowing me the honor of taking care of Lucy. She is my best friend and daughter. She is the light in my life. Shall I always protect and cherish her. I promise to do right by her always. She is my responsibility. Thank you for helping me with her vet care and food. Thank you for helping me with all her needs. Thank you for making my wish come true. I always wanted a kitty of my own. As a girl, I dreamed of my own kitty bestie. The kitties took forever to warm up to me, but eventually I was let in. I felt so honored to be let in on the language and allowed pets. I fell in love with all the meows and purrs. I fell in love with the all the cattitude. I fell in love with the compassion. Curious pointy ears erect behind the couch illuminate my heart each time. Does she not know she's as bright as a traffic cone? I giggle with delight." Forever Fosters are cats who would otherwise be sanctuary cats because their special needs are ongoing and too great for them to be adoptable. Our Forever Fosterers give these cats furever homes and all the love of any beloved pet. Thundering Paws pays all medical expenses, including prescription diets. If you are interested in fostering, temporarily or furever, please see www.thunderingpaws.org/adopt
What a snuggler!!
This snuggle bug went to foster today. One hour here and he's like this. His sister isn't purring or snuggling but she's crawling all over me for pets and attention.
This bonded mother-son pair are still young enough to play but have outgrown the craziness of kittens! If you think they'd fit in well in your home, please come visit Thyme and her son, Peppermint, in our wonderful adoption space at Tomlinson's Feed in Belterra @tomlinsonsadoptables . For complete bios and information on how to apply to adopt see www.thunderingpaws.org/adopt
We have 5 kittens and their friendly mama in need of foster! If you have ever considered fostering but just haven't gotten around to applying, now's the time to apply! If you've never considered fostering but think you'd enjoy it, now's the time to apply! If you want to foster but aren't quite ready yet, now's the time to apply! Apply here: https://www.thunderingpaws.org/foster-application/ This family needs a place to go as soon as possible but, being primarily a foster-based rescue, we can't take in cats and kittens in need unless we have a foster waiting for kitties. Let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to match you up - bottle babies? mama with kittens? weaned kittens? 1 kitten (rare but it happens)? 2 kittens? A whole litter of kittens? An adult? A bonded pair of adults? A medical case? A behavioral case? A hospice case? We have seen ALL of these this year and we will certainly face each situation again. It helps us help the cats if we know there is someone waiting to foster who is especially interested in a particular type of fostering. If you have questions email [email protected] or comment below.
