Meet Sparkle the Therapy Dog from Wags For Hope and her friend Safety Pup from the Thurmont Police Department at National Night Out on August 6th from 6 PM to 7:30 PM.

**National Night Out** is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. Its aim is to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. The event provides an opportunity for the police and neighbors to come together under positive circumstances.

Wags for Hope (WFH) is a non-profit organization that provides volunteers with their pets to bring joy to the lives of others in Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Hospitals and with Hospice. In addition, they supply local libraries and schools who are using their animals as a conduit to help improve the literacy skills of the children in the community
