We have moved! Something our family has wanted to do for many years, finally able to put the pieces together and relocate to Southeast Alabama! It was a long trip, we made the choice not to bring any horses from our Oregon herd as we knew the travel time, difference in climate and change of feed would be super tough on them. We have 8 acres here that we're basically rebuilding from the ground up, won't be taking on any clients for a while until the facilities are a bit more professional but we have already purchased 2 lovely geldings to start our new herd with ❤️. We are loving life here so far and hope to make many new friends, we'll do updates as things come along and we get more accomplished around the property 🖤🐴🤍🐴🩶

Blaze tune up week 3 - spent a lot of time on the trail and out of the arena this week. He is definitely a steady eddy, good leading or following, opens gates, goes over logs, through brush, good at moving off your leg and not scared of anything. He hauls great, ties and gets saddled with ease and keeps a nice pace. He's been the best boy for some family that we have visiting, safely packing our guests down the trail today and everybody had a great time!

Blaze tune up week 2 - he's a nice horse, mellow and easy to catch, friendly with the other horses, did great for the farrier and we hauled out to pacifica today to try his new shoes! He's a smart trail horse, watches where he's going and knows his job, keeps a nice distance between him and the horse ahead and did real good when we had to open a couple gates.

Blaze tune up day 7 - first week down and he's such a good boy, sweet and good natured, pitty someone let him get so skinny 😔 he's in good hands now. He's has some arena time, ground work and under saddle, alone and with buddies, not scared of things, carried flags, went through the hanging plastic and milk jug obstacles, up the road to get the trash can and today he packed the grandma safely down the trail and back. ❤

Roxie tune up day 24 - some more arena riding and then a couple obstacles in hand. She's not spooky, went right through the milk jugs like nothin and took her time figuring out the hanging plastic, so many horses rush through when they're unsure but she was patient and used her brain ⭐

Roxie tune up day 20 - my Mom's first time riding her, we went up the road a ways and did the steep Marcy Loop hill, a little b***y work never hurt nobody! It was hot though 🥵

Roxie tune up day 17 - full of feel good for miss Roxie Ann, she got a much needed adjustment from our favorite equine chiropractor Jim and then a trip to our favorite vet Dr. Bradley for a teeth float! She was a real good girl for both visits and I'm sure she appreciated the attention 💛

Roxie tune up day 13 - just an easy practice in the arena, first time doing the key way pattern, Richard worked on his hands and rein management, after I spent a little time focusing on leg cues.

Roxie tune up day 11 - short ride in the arena and up the road till it got dark, got her scheduled to see the farrier tomorrow, vet next week and chiropractor soon, what a pampered princess 👑

Roxie tune up day 9 - experimenting with different bits to see if we can get her a little more quiet in her mouth. Teeth were supposedly floated last year and we'll be taking her in soon to get them checked again, but for now I think she just lets out some anxiety through her face. She's a really sensitive horse and also used to being ridden with a tie down which we don't use here. Richard had his first ride on her last night and first time cantering her tonight! Practicing for gymkhana coming up.
