When l started this journey 9 years ago, I had no idea where this business would take me, but I knew I was willing to run with it.
Finally taking that leap and enrolling in Dogma Academy in 2021 was the best decision I could have made.
Not only for my business and my sanity but for my brand new puppy, Sarge. He has loved every minute of the journey.
It was an investment in myself. My confidence grew as I studied the theory and bumbled through the practical skills necessary for certification in an unregulated industry.
Including being a part of a talented community of dog professionals who I am honored to share our passion for entrepreneurialship and collaborate together. 🐾
It has been a beacon of light in a time of deep personal loss.
It ignited joy in my heart again to see how enriching and fun training can be for our dogs. It creates deep bonds between us and an unspoken language of love that is like no other.
The best part for me is that this feels like only the beginning for our little woof pack!

Sometimes, getting stuck in a snowstorm can be fun!
I love mixing it up and using a longer leash when we are in a safe location away from others.
It changes the game up and takes a bit of the focus off our leash walking.
Provides a release, let's them be a dog.... have some freedom, go deep sniffy sniff as much as they want, and be silly 😜
We utilize it to work on strong check-ins and reward any, and all offered attention.
It is important for us to listen to our dogs and provide them with a safe place to learn.
Give them more space and the opportunity to think for themselves.
