We were fortunate enough to have been visited this week by two top Dalmatian breeders (with multiple awards between them, including 2024 Best in Breed) Jenny Alexander and Liz Sampson. Hearing them say they liked Sadie's litter was so gratifying! Here are some of Liz's wonderful pictures.

A zonk of puppies... Five weeks yesterday since birth, and they're all at least five times their birth weight. Lots of playing outside, lots of sleeping, lots of feeding makes for a very contented litter.

Markings coming along beautifully and getting bigger every day - it's like watching a Polaroid develop!

DNA tests done and sent off today for analysis, to find out which of these sleeping beauties will be LUA (low uric acid). Sadie is doing her bit to increase the number of Dalmatians with this important protective gene. (First toenail clip today as well!)

One week old today! All six have more than doubled their birthweight - as these wagging tails testify, she's a great mum. And the markings are starting to develop!

Some pups already have markings on their ears, but most markings will develop later. It looks like we will have a boy and girl who are liver-spotted and the rest black and white!

Sadie's a dam! Six lovely pedigree Dalmatian puppies, whelped on 27/05/24. She's taking to being a mum like a duck to water!
