A HUGE Happy 6th Birthday to the adorable pups from Phoebe and Kooper's litter. One day belated birthday to Miss Shelby who squeaked in her appearance March 27. We loved every minute of these little fur babies. Happy Birthday Pups!!

Spent yesterday morning at a local vendor event here in Parkland County. Phoebe attended the event with us and was gifted a collar by Willow & Pearl Designs. Phoenix is currently sporting the collar today.

With heat warnings in place just a few things to keep in mind...

- Be sure to test the sidewalks/roadways to make sure they aren't too hot for your fur baby's paws. You do this by using the 7 Second Test...hold the back of your hand on the sidewalk/pavement for 7 seconds. Can you make it to 7 seconds? If you can't do that comfortably than it is too hot for your furry friend.

- Make sure to have fresh water out.

- If your pet is outside make sure they have shaded space.

- It is best to exercise your fur baby in the early morning or later in the evening to avoid the hottest time of day.

- Pool time! Your furry friend can try and beat the heat in a wading pool.

- Temperatures in parked vehicles get HOT FAST...so please please don't leave your fur baby in your vehicle.

Happy Canada Day!! 🇨🇦

Just a reminder that fireworks are beautiful to us but can be terrifying to your dog. Please keep your dog indoors and safe this Canada Day.

TIPS:
- Keep your dog inside.
- Close the doors, windows & curtains.
- If your dog wants to hide that is fine let them.
- Feed your dog before the fireworks start…a full tummy can make them sleepy and will hopefully help them relax.
- Try turning on the TV or radio to disguise the sound of the fireworks.
- Be sure your dog has his/her ID tags on just in case they run from you or your property.
