My sweetest angel Tiffany,
I find myself still grieving your loss, even if I don’t express it often. Some days, the weight of your absence feels too much to carry out than others, yet I’ve learned to carry it quietly, tucked away in the corners of my heart where only I can truly feel it. The world continues to move forward, and so do I, but there are moments when the memories flood back, and it feels like losing you all over again.

I long for the sound of your paws on the floor, the way you would curl up beside me, and the comfort of your presence. Now, there’s only silence where you once brought joy. People say that time heals, but I believe it merely teaches us how to navigate the ache. You’re always in my thoughts, even when I don’t voice it.

I can’t say if the pain will ever completely fade, but I know you will always be a part of me. Somewhere, somehow, I hope you understand just how loved you are and how deeply you are missed. You were/are my world until my last breath

With all my love,
Me ❤️

Remembering Tiffany, Our Precious and Impactful Ambassadog

Tiffany my sweetest angel,
As I sit here reminiscing about all the wonderful memories we shared, I am filled with both sadness and gratitude. You were not just a pet; you were a true companion, a source of joy, and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing you.

From the countless hours we spent volunteering and working together, you brought your unique talents to various venues, leaving a lasting impact on everyone you encountered. Your presence alone had the power to calm and bring smiles to the faces of those around you.

I will never forget how you worked your magic at the University of Miami, helping students find relaxation and peace before their final exams. Your gentle nature and comforting presence had a remarkable ability to ease their stress and anxieties.

And who could forget the Broward Courthouse? Your calming influence on adolescents prior to their appearances before the judge was truly remarkable. You provided them with a sense of calm and reassurance during a difficult time in their lives.

But perhaps one of the most memorable experiences was witnessing the joy and animation you brought to the special needs children at Broward Children's Center in Pompano Beach. Your playful nature and unconditional love touched their hearts and brightened their spirits.

Your visits to the elementary school, where you spent time with students facing reading challenges, were equally impactful. By simply reading out loud to you and receiving your approving look, you helped build their confidence and instilled in them a love for learning.

And let's not forget your role as the smallest ambassadog at the FLL airport. Despite your small stature, you made a colossal impact on the thousands of passengers who had the privilege of interacting with you. Your presence reduced their stress, calmed their nerves, and even brought smiles to the faces of TSA personnel.

Your dedication to animal rights and veganism was truly inspiring. You attended numerous events, not to showcase your adorableness, but rather to communicate the importance of kindness towards animals. Your mission was clear - to teach children and adults alike the significance of providing love, care, and dignity to animals and to raise awareness about their importance in our lives.

I believe my friend, Lisa, said it best when she described you as "proof positive that you don't need to be a giant to make a big impact." You were a pint-sized bundle of calm, serenity, and compassion, traveling across the country to spread your message of kindness and love.

Although your physical presence is no longer with us, your legacy lives on. Your hard work and unwavering dedication will continue to touch the lives of homeless and abused animals, ultimately helping to save them and bring about a more compassionate world.

Tiffany, my precious little jewel, I miss you deeply. You brought so much joy and love into my life, and I am forever grateful for the time we had together. Your impact will never be forgotten, and your memory will forever be cherished in my heart.

So, my beloved Tiffany, my heart. As I navigate through this overwhelming pain, I hold onto the hope that one day, the heaviness in my heart will ease. Until then, I will carry you with me, knowing that your love will forever be a part of who I am. Your spirit will guide me through the darkest nights and remind me that love, even in loss, is a bond that transcends time and space.

With love, ❤️
Your mom

Dear FB friends,

If you get a chance today, please call Governor Desantis's office today at (850) 717-9337 to ask him to veto HB 87 - the "Taking of Bears" bill - which just arrived on his desk this week.

Try to wait to talk to one of his aids - or there is a prompt where you can choose to have them call you back when an aid becomes available. Otherwise, you can leave a message.

Bill overview:
If passed, this bill will allow people to shoot a Florida black bear on their property - in situations where the bear is not a threat - under the guise of "self-defense" or simply to "protect property" - with no repercussions!

Here are some talking points:

The main talking point:
(start with this)

1. I'm calling to ask Governor Desantis to veto HB87 - the "Taking of Bears" bill. This is a dangerous bill that encourages people to shoot a bear on their property - not as a last resort – but as a first resort. This bill will lead to the unnecessary and unprovoked killing of hundreds of Florida black bears every year and the orphaning of bear cubs.

Other talking points:
(please include at least 1 or 2 of these)

2. Killing bears does not eliminate human-bear conflicts. Removing food attractants eliminates human-bear conflicts. Instead of passing a bill to encourage the preemptive killing of bears, the state should be providing additional funding for bear-aware programs that encourage and assist residents to use bear-resistant trash cans and remove food attractants like birdfeeders.

3. This bill will create an unofficial, unregulated statewide bear hunt. It will also set a dangerous precedent by preempting the FWC's constitutional authority to manage Florida's wildlife. This bill effectively transfers the management of the bear population from the state agency to the general public.

4. Florida black bears are shy and reclusive. They are not predatory against humans. No one has ever been killed by a bear in Florida. That being said, if a bear - or any animal - poses a threat to you or your loved ones (pets included), every Florida resident has a right to self-defense under current law.

5. There are only 3,000-4,000 black bears remaining in our state. Florida black bears were listed as a 'threatened' species as recently as 2012. This bill will threaten the survival of the already vulnerable Florida black bear whose habitats have been severely depleted by ever-expanding development. The overwhelming majority of Florida voters are in favor of protecting our state's few remaining black bears.

6. This bill is the direct result of a complaint from the Franklin County Sheriff who provided no corroborating evidence regarding the grave threat posed by bears in his county. Not a single photograph or video was presented - nor a single police or FWC incident report. From all accounts, Franklin County - home to a mere 13,000 residents - does not have a bear problem, it has a garbage problem. Franklin County has no mandatory garbage pickup. Furthermore, the state could easily provide funding to Franklin County for bear-proof trash cans – as it has done for 16 other Florida counties with human-bear conflicts.

THANK YOU !!!
