Seriously.

Last week, our 11-year-old Chihuahua got really sick. My family pulled together about $1,700 and went to the veterinary hospital about an hour and a half away. After a number of costly tests, we learned that the condition she had was treatable but not curable, and relapse would be likely. We ended up euthanizing our furry child.
