Horses4Homes has been developed in response to the rising number of horses needing new forever homes.

Horses4Homes is committed to helping the equine community to re-home horses more responsibly and by doing so reduce the number of horses in need of rescuing each year. This will alleviate pressure on sanctuaries and re-homing centres allowing them to focus on the horses, ponies and donkeys most in need. There is a minimal admin fee of £20 to list a horse on Horses4Homes and each horse listed is av

ailable at no sale cost only an application fee of £20 and a re-homing fee is a minimum of £50 payable by the successful applicant plus a requested donation. Horses4Homes provides an application process to enable owners to be more informed regarding the homes that are offered. Once a suitable home has been found, verified and inspected by the owner of the horse the new owner, loanee or sharer is invited to make a donation as requested by the original horse owner, to demonstrate their commitment and financial capability to care for the new horse. Each re-home is given a bespoke re-home agreement to outline responsibility and cost. The aims of the Horses4Homes are;

To reduce the risks associated with buying, selling and re-homing horses
To educate people on the risks associated with buying, selling and re-homing horses
To raise the standards of internet selling & re-homing horses
To help reduce the number of healthy horses slaughtered in the UK
To capture data of use to the industry
for research purposes
To proactively target high risk groups
To develop a grant fund to invest in the long-term improvement of equine welfare & education worldwide

Making a monthly contribution of just a few pounds can help to ensure Horses4Homes continues to provide much needed assistance to horse owners by helping them to find suitable homes for their much loved, vulnerable horses who may otherwise have to be put to sleep.

Can not be ridden,( unless he is thoroughly checked out by vet, possibly needs medication and physio) currently he is not fit for riding purposes.

Owners are wanting him to go to a companion home only.

⭐️ Pippin ⭐️ Huntingdon area ⭐️

12.3hh gelding
Age: 10

12.3 hh gelding who is 9 years old for companion home or driving project.

He can come with all his tack and his Bennington carriage if you wanted to drive him.

Pip genuinely loves his job driving. He would pass cars, bikes, busses and lorries without drama. We could have a canter in the fields with no issues with putting on the breaks when needed

He thrives in a herd environment or with at least one other companion and is happy to live in or out. He is playful with his herd mates and is lots of fun to watch while he plays (he needs a friend in the field with him, not just over a fence).

If you intend to drive him, he needs to be brought back into work slowly as he hasn’t been driven for a couple of years.

Height: 15.1hh

Camilla hasn’t done much since being backed, she has been lightly schooled and hacks out in company.

Her owner was hoping to bring her on myself but with work and family commitments it’s not possible.

Very sweet natured, happy to live out in the summer and in in the winter.

15.1h, up to date with feet, teeth, vaccinations and worming.

She does take a month or two to settle in to her new surroundings.

Very good with children!

Trio!

There are three ponies that need a home together. They cannot be separated. They have a close bond and their owner would like them to stay together.

They live outdoors 24/7 and love to stay out as they don’t like living in stables.

They are all bare foot and up to date with everything. They are 20,10 and 7 years old. They are all no longer ridden and their owner is wanting them to stay that way.

They just need a home where they can live out their lives as they have been with me. Kept together and living out in a trio. They are very much loved. They love people and children and to be made a fuss off.

Cookie has now found his new forever home as a companion!

He will be a buddy to a ridden horse. We wish him and the family the best of luck and we will be looking forward to hearing from them in the future!

It is always a blessing to be able to rehome a companion as it can be quite tough! But we also make companions our top priority in finding them their next adventure.

To rehome a horse all you have to do is register and head over to “My account” to then “ADD LISTING”.

To rehome one of our horses listed. All you have to do is register and head over their full adverts and “click apply”.

Floss is looking for her next forever home!

Age: 5
Height: 15hh/15.1hh

15hh is Irish sports pony.

Floss loves attention and to be groomed.

She was bought Aug 2024, had only been backed 6 weeks so is very green and seen very little of the world but her owners had intended to bring her on over the winter. Things started well for the daughter and was walking/trotting her in the school and over poles.

She takes a couple of weeks to settle at a new yard. Initially she’ll be a handful but hit 2 weeks and she starts to calm.

She needs a very experienced rider/handler who is calm, persistent but kind.

Duo still looking for a new forever home.

Chestnut 14.2hh 24 yr old

Roonie is a lovely little character who sadly has n0t been given enough time. Bereavement, grown up children and a change in family circumstances mean we are sadly having to rehome our lovely family ponies. He is heavily bonded to our beautiful New Forest Pony Autumn who would like to stay together.

Autumn would make an excellent therapy or companion horse. She is a dream to handle on the ground and is very affectionate with no vices.
No problems with the dentist, vet or farrier.

Under saddle, she has a history of bolting, and has not been ridden since. Her owner would not recommend her as a ridden horse.
