Our background situation is that we have a dog who has always been hesitant to let us cut her front toenails. Still, she usually let us until a couple months ago. We have no idea what caused it but now she is completely petrified to have us come near her front nails. I am able to touch her feet and play with her toes but as soon as a nail clipper or grinder approaches, she turns into a neurotic mess. No nail trimming trauma in her past so the difficulty the seems unexplainable. We have tried to patiently reacclimate her, but nothing seemed to be working and her nails were getting dangerously long. At this point the only thing that we figured could help would be putting her under in order to cut her nails. In a last ditch attempt to find a more reasonable alternative, we spent the money for this item. It was not without hesitancy since the cost is pricier than we would have liked. However, I am so glad we went for it. Now, our dog is a natural digger, frequently trying to fluff her bed or burrow through the carpet until redirected. But she's also a bit of a brat, so I wasn't sure she would acclimate to this nail file. But it only took about 10 minutes of training and she understood. While she will now occasionally half-heartedly paw at the nail file thinking that's enough for a reward, we are able to tell her to paw more seriously and she complies. What is very impressive to me is the quality of the file. This Is not mere sandpaper and only a few paws at it make a significant difference in nail length. The nail grinding is obviously not going to be completely even because it depends on how the dog positions her foot, but it is still completely sufficient for our purposes. For the first time in months, I'm no longer worried about the potential of foot problems because her nails kept growing. And though she tends to paw with her left more than her right, she has quickly learned to switch paws on command. I'm very thankful for the design of this item.

Some things in life are far more important than material possessions... The intense fire surprised Mario Alberto, who is a deaf man, in the middle of the night. His humble house and his vehicle were on fire, but his only concern was for his best friend, Gordo, who was still inside his house .

Desperate, he even tried to put out the fire with a hose but the flames were destroying everything, including his hopes of finding his dog alive.

He kept pointing out to the firefighters that nothing mattered more than his pet and when he thought he would never see him again, suddenly in the midst of the raging flames, one of them came out with Gordo.

'We watched with amazement as our adult 7-year-old Labrador Retriever learned to scratch the board after just 2 tries and her long nails were trimmed down better than they ever have (and safely)! She caught on quickly and her super-long front nails were trimmed down perfectly. Groomers routinely struggled filing her nails properly (always left too long) because the nail quick is not visible with her black nails. The Digger Dog Nail File videos were very helpful to watch before trying the board out for the first time. 'I am sold on this digger nail file board for those dogs that just can't tolerate their front nails being trimmed or feet being touched for that matter. We have 2 pitbulls and one loses it when we touch her front feet. We have used the hammock-works but struggle to get her in it, sedation-she's suspicious and won't take treats for days after, sitting with our dog and giving her lots of treats- won't go near my husband for days after, taken her to the vet-they don't want her to not like going in so stopped trimming them. I have done her nails since she was 8 weeks old. It was a fight no matter what and worse than that is she is suspicious anyway- after nails she is very leary and slow to forgive. Rear legs are fine but front forget it~ This is a game changer. She doesn't even know that she is filing her nails for us. She is happy to get the treats and will dig and switch feet for the treats. Item is well made and works beautifully! Thank you so much for a fabulous idea and an enjoyable way to file nails around our house. Absolutely recommend this.'
