PERMANENTLY CLOSED.
Big Blue is now closed for good.
Again, I would very much like to thank you all for your support, kindness, good humour and business over the years.
It's time for something new. I don't think anyone could accuse me of being fickle. I've worked seven days per week for many years....... And yet, it has been a privilege to serve you. I have no regrets about the time spent in my own aquatic world. You made it a success and gave me many happy memories.
I wish you all a long, happy life with much joy and fish keeping pleasure. If you see me around, please do come and say "hi"
I am keeping this page active for the time being as I will be offering a few bargains as I discover them so do check in regularly.
My very, very best to you and yours.

CLOSING DOWN. PLEASE READ.
With a very heavy heart I have to tell you all that Big Blue Aquarium Warehouse will close its doors for the final time on the 30th of September (or even before if I run out of stock)
Please accept my apologies for the apparent suddenness. It was not an easy or pleasant decision to make. The thought of letting you all down and leaving this place has kept me awake at night. But the winds of change have reached even my sleepy little corner of the world and its time to move on to new opportunities.
If you have supported this small business over the years, even in a small way, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Its been both a privilege and a pleasure to serve you for two decades.
I will speak to you personally as I see you all over the next few weeks.
I’ll be having a stock clearance, with many items reduced, so do come and fill your boots for the final time.
Yes, I will miss this lovely, creaky old warehouse and miss you all desperately
Wishing you all my very best and every success to you and yours.

At this time of year its really important that you have a decent, simple thermometer in contact with the water that you can read easily..... 😏

He isn't cheap.... But he is magnificent. The only "Red" Australian Tusk I've had this year.

OK......
* urchins, are back in stock. A big help when algae is growing strongly
* the anemone tank is rammed! Video to follow.
* a couple of beautiful manderins have arrived. Both eating frozen copepods
* red leg reef hermits are back. Little and industrious
*several coral beauties have arrived. Great, easy to keep little fellas
* a small adult Majestic angel is ready to go and looking charming.
* I have another adult Queen angel. This one is stunning.
* more blue cheek Gobies are in stock. There is no finer sand sifter..... These guys are a really good size.
* I have two powder blues that have now been quarantined for two full weeks. Ready to go!

Feeling let down by dry dust coral 'foods' like Reef Roids?
I find them to be a complete waste of time. The Gamma liquid foods are hugely concentrated and need keeping in the fridge which tells you everything about their nutritional content.
Your corals will love you for changing.

Did you know you can tell the time by starfish?
For example, this magnificent blue star fish is currently informing me that its 5 o'clock.

Gosh.... This bottle of Quantum liquid phosphate remover has lasted ages.... Even in store. Why anyone would use solid phosphate removal media in a reactor with all the mess, fuss and cost involved is beyond me. Such a high value product.

My ace clams keep selling..... So I've bought more. Just love these guys. They love nitrate too, so, if you have good light don't fret too much about water quality for them.

Just unpacking a shipment, then, later on I have more tropicals arriving. Busy, busy, busy.
In the image you see the little biscuit starfish which have just arrived. I'm not at all sure they will be yummy..... But they sure look cute. Reef safe too! (THESE ARE NOW ALL SOLD THANKS)
