Diva looks and acts just like her mama Nala. Nothing phases her and she’s calm as can be in every environment. We couldn’t be happier with our C**t and Nala puppies! Let’s see some updates on Diva’s siblings.

Happy 4th birthday to Mr. C**t! He had one heck of a year running hunt tests and gave us some more amazing puppies. He’s got a big year ahead of him as he’ll be running 2 Grands, the Master National and some Quals.

Do your research on breeders and go visit the parents or talk to references before getting a dog from someone. I’m sure these people were producing doodles which should be a red flag to people by now!

We made the trip to Sioux Falls yesterday to get all the dogs annual eye OFA’s and Lainey got her advanced cardiac OFA too. We got normal results for all of the dogs. It’s so nice to be able to knock out all of the tests at health clinics even if it makes for a 10 hour travel day.

C**t went out in the 2nd, I’m super proud of this guy and all he accomplished this year. Thanks to Casey and Jessica with FR Labs for taking care of him and running him. We’ll give it another go at the spring grand in Wisconsin. Now it’s time to get this boy some real hunting!

The Grand starts tomorrow and C**t is dog 499 in F flight. I decided to give Rip some time off as he needs a little more time to mature. Here’s to straight lines, bellies up and no bad luck.

It took a whole lotta planning and some perfect timing with weather but we finally have an awesome tech pond. There’s an island, lots of points, a swim by section, channel blind area and 2 handling mounds. We got lucky and hit all clay digging in this spot whereas lots of this area is sand and rocks. A huge thanks goes out to Badger Loader Services LLC in Tower City for doing a great job.

Happy birthday to this dog loving daughter of mine. Skylar has figured out that she likes HRC hunt tests way more than AKC because there’s a banquet and prizes! She’s always down to come to a test or go hunting and says that she’s never leaving home because she’s taking over the business when she gets older. Everyone that’s met her knows she’s full of sass and as quick witted as they come and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Here are the stats from retriever results. 1068 dogs ran the Master National and 442 passed. Only 46 Goldens ran of which 6 passed and C**ts flight started with 15 Goldens and he was the only one to pass! Rip went out in the first for putting on a big hunt on the middle bird and running a choppy blind, he’s still young though and has a bit more maturing to do. I’m super proud of both of my boys for all they’ve accomplished so far this year.

C**t continued his streak and passed the Master National running 5 clean series. This dude is a marking machine that truly loves the game! He’s got the brains to match his beauty and has become a real team player. Thanks to FR Labs for running him for me since I couldn’t make it. Now it’s time to get ready for the Grand!

Sorry for the complete lack of updates on the boys running the Master National! Our dishwasher sprung a leak and the previous owner of our house installed it directly onto the subfloor so I’ve spent the last week redoing our kitchen and decided to do the mudroom while I was at it.
