I took advantage of the nice weather and ice free roads and brought the dogs out for a run this morning. Rip hit every mud puddle, snow bank and body of water he could find and C**t just enjoyed his trot haha. These pictures pretty much sum up their personalities!

It’s times like these when I’m extremely happy I built a kennel area. I love this weather but the dogs are muddy messes within 10 seconds of being outside. I brought these beauties to check the pond out this morning, it’s filling up nicely but we’re going to need some more moisture. On a side note, I can barely tell these three apart at a distance!

Diva can be found in one of two places during the day, on our bed or under it lol. She arranges the pillows to suit her comfort level too. This is the look she gives me when I tell her to kennel.

Miss Lainey followed suit and just came into heat. If she follows her current cycle pattern she’ll be back in heat around September at which time she’ll be bred to Rip.

These two got dropped off in South Dakota on Monday so that C**t can get collected and Nala get checked out to make sure she’s all good to be bred. Nala has a clean bill of health and will be bred on Friday! Puppies will be due April 25th and ready to go June 13th.

Both Diva and Nala are in heat! This is Diva’s first cycle so if you got a female puppy last summer keep an eye on them. I’ll be bringing Nala to the vet to see if she’s fully healthy to be bred after her surgery. She looks good to me but if the vet thinks there’s any risk we won’t be breeding her this cycle. Stay tuned for updates, I have a feeling all the girls will be coming into season soon.

Diva inherited her dad’s obsession for carrying toys at all times and thinks every toy or ball in existence is hers. She’s also discovered the pigeons at the grain bins and will watch them for hours.

I realized that Diva hadn’t been on a ranger ride in quite awhile so her and Nala got to come plow some snow drifts. Once Diva gets a bit bigger I’m going to have a hard time telling these two apart from a distance, they even have the exact same white spot on their chest.

I had a wheel bearing go out while grabbing a trailer from Grand Forks on Friday so Nala got to do some shopping with me. She goes on every road trip but normally just chills in the truck when I run into stores. She tried her best to get people to play fetch with her in Scheels but only got a lot of pets, treats and compliments.

Well miss Nala gave us quite the scare last week. She couldn’t hold any food down for 3 days and didn’t have any bowel movements. X-rays revealed empty intestines and what appeared to be a stomach blockage that turned out to just be undigested food. For some reason she just stopped being able to process food. After a few days vet stay she’s back to her normal self and healing nicely.

With that being said we obviously can’t breed her in the near future to give her abdomen time to heal. We thought she was in heat when she got home but it looks like it was just some spotting caused by the surgery. Her heat cycles run between 8-12 months and she’s at 9 months right now. We’ll keep everyone on our waitlist updated on what’s going on. C**t just did a breeding and has a couple more lined up so if you’re wanting a C**t puppy I can get you in contact with the owners of the females. Otherwise it looks like we’ll be having a puppy filled summer and fall here.

The barn kennel got tinned up last week and I finally got all the ribbons out of the box and hung up. We are now boarding dogs year round in a fully climate controlled building with about an acre in airing yards. $30 per night or $25 if your dog came from our breedings.

Diva looks and acts just like her mama Nala. Nothing phases her and she’s calm as can be in every environment. We couldn’t be happier with our C**t and Nala puppies! Let’s see some updates on Diva’s siblings.

Happy 4th birthday to Mr. C**t! He had one heck of a year running hunt tests and gave us some more amazing puppies. He’s got a big year ahead of him as he’ll be running 2 Grands, the Master National and some Quals.
