FOSTERS OR ADOPTERS URGENTLY NEEDED. All are fixed, up to date on vaccines, and ADOPTION READY!

All of these pups in our program do not have foster homes to no fault of their own 😭 our current fosters are bursting at the seams and we have nowhere to place these babies. We. Need. Help.

Winnie- 6 month female Doberman mix, good with other dogs, unknown with cats

Goose- 2 year old male border collie mix, does good with other confident dogs but will benefit from a meet and greet, ignored cats during cat test

Boy- 9 month old Aussie mix, does great with other dogs and cats

Ted- 2 year old shepherd mix, does great with other dogs, previously lived with cats

Thistle & Myrtle are such a cute & fun duo. They are curious, mischievous, and love to play! These two girls are social butterflies and will absolutely be the center of attention in your home.

Did we mention they are playful? They are constantly chasing each other, wrestling, and parkour! These girls are also sweet, friendly, affectionate, and love to be near you. They play hard and love hard - truly the most well-rounded kittens!

❤️ MEET COPPER ❤️
Cuddly & Laid-Back Boy

Copper is a handsome boy whose favorite things in life consist of being near his humans, ruling from the top if his cat tree, and watching life go by from a window perch! Copper will nap near his humans, and then follow them around begging for pets! He LOVES scratchers, and enjoys the wide variety of scratching posts from his cat tree to cardboard scratchers. He is an independent player, and will roll around and toss toys in the air when he gets the "zoomies." He also loves being brushed, and it will be important for his adopter to keep him well groomed so he does not get matting in his sleek, long fur!

Copper is very shy at first, and change can be hard for him. He will require patience at first until he learns he is safe, and then once he knows he is safe, his true personality shines!

He has lives with other cats, dogs, and kids before. While he will thrive best in a calm household, he has mostly ignored the other pets in the home. He will not do well with high-energy dogs or cats, and would do best with older kids rather than younger kids.

❗️AM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Norman Petsmart❗️

Norman Petsmart cattery is seeking AM volunteer help.

To ensure our cats get the best care possible, we have 2 volunteer shifts per day: one AM & one PM. Each shift is approx. 2 hrs minimum. Petsmart opens at 9 AM; Mon- Sat & 10 AM on Sunday

During a volunteer shift, each cat gets time to play, scoop litter boxes, and refresh water and food.

A few important details to consider before applying.

Some questions to ask yourself if you are interested:

- Do you have reliable transportation to get to and from Petsmart for your volunteer shift?
- When you commit to be a volunteer and take on a weekly shift, you're committing to be reliable, trustworthy, and dependable.
- Attention to details is important while volunteering in the cattery
- Are you comfortable picking up/holding cats?
- Are you a team player and good communicator?
- Do you have any physical limitations? And are you comfortable standing for a couple hours, getting up and down easily?
- You will need to be able to get on and off a step ladder and up and down off the floor easily while wrangling kittys; lightweight lifting with trash and water pitcher refills

Meet Mr Beefy! This 2ish year old baby has a big heart and an even bigger head! Seriously, the pictures don’t do it justice 😁

Mr Beefy was found as a stray at the lake by his foster. They took him in and he was the “perfect gentleman” from day 1! Mr Beefy is a quick learner and knows his basic commands. He is crate and potty trained. He loves his dog friends at his foster home! That being said, he doesn’t necessarily know his size so we’d probably recommend him go to a home with other dogs similar to his size. He has not been around cats.

An ideal home for Mr Beefy would be one with a couch to lay on and people to cuddle with. He is a mellow boy that would much rather snuggle with his people than go for a run (who can relate 😅).

Mr Beefy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175.

WELCOME BACK GOOSE

Goose was adopted from our rescue in early 2022 as a four month old adorable puppy. Then, for the next two years, he bounced between homes and was found wandering a neighborhood in Moore near two bustling streets and an active train track. His previous owners were contacted, and they were unable to care for him. They told us that he had been rehomed at least twice during those two years.

Besides the gross smell and a few ribs showing, Goose was in surprisingly good health and spirits. His foster parents are still getting to know him; he lives in a house with other dogs and young children. All dogs need time to decompress when moving to a new home, and we do not know what Goose endured before coming back to our care, but he is a bit worried about not having the next meal, which we will make sure he gets so he know longer has that worry. His foster parents say he is a great dog so far; he needs some obedience training, but he is already potty trained, knows basic commands, and can walk on a leash!

Breed: Medium Mixed Breed
Age: 2.5 years old
Gender: Male/Neutered
Size: Medium ~50lb

Ideal Home: He would do best in an active household, as he is a young guy and has a lot of herding dog energy.

🆘 🆘 🆘 🆘 WE NEED HELP 🆘 🆘 🆘 🆘

Rescues across the state are full. Fosters in our program are bursting at the seams trying to save “just one more dog”. Adoptions are minimal and it is impossible for us to help our shelter partners.

At this point we are BEGGING for people to step up and foster dogs. We have six urgent returns that have nowhere to go. All of these dogs are fully vetted and adoption ready. We provide all necessary items for the dogs, advertise them on our website, and have periodic adoption events to showcase your pup.

We hate to do this but we are on complete intake hold from the community and shelter partners as a result. WE NEED HELP. We appreciate thoughts and prayers, but at this point we need humans to step up and help with this crisis at hand. We know that fostering is hard work, it’s summer and people have travel plans, adding another pup to the home (even temporarily) can be a difficult transition, but it’s so incredibly rewarding knowing you’re saving a life.

The force is strong with this one! 🌌 Meet Kylo!

Kylo is a 6-7 month old, male, mixed breed pup. Kylo is the biggest sweetie and absolutely lives for belly rubs. He is great with kids, loves everyone he meets (and expects them to give him a belly rub), gets along well with other dogs, and needs someone to cuddle with. His foster family has been kennel training at night and during the day if they have to leave but he does great being outside when the weather is nice. He is being taught how to walk on a leash and gets really excited to go.

He has received all his puppy shots and is fixed. His adoption fee is $175.

Meet our “Rey” of sunshine! ☀️

Rey is a 6-7 month old, female mixed breed pup. She is great with kids, very social, loves other dogs and wants to play with everyone. She has not been around cats. Rey is extremely smart and learns quickly. Her foster parents have been kennel training at night and during the day if the weather is too hot but she also loves being outside and sunbathing! She is doing really well at learning how to walk on a leash and is extremely curious about the world.

Calm & Affectionate

Hazel is a sweet middle-aged lady who really enjoys taking naps & being comfy with you. She is calm and gentle, but she still gets the zoomies and enjoys toys and play time! Hazel also loves your attention - she give gentle head bumps for pets and belly rubs! She especially loves treats & wet food - give her some treats and you will be BFF for life. If she wants your attention, she will be vocal to ensure you know she's there, and purrs like a kitten.

Hazel would make a wonderful companion and would prefer to be your only kitty.
