Meet Jelly, a little warrior who was found attacked by a dog. She was taken to our vet this past week and was found to have a severe fracture of her leg, and an amputation was recommended. Jelly had surgery the next day and is recovering well in her foster home.

🐶 Update on Momma Dog Chili and Her Newborn Potatoes! 🐶

We are so happy to share that Chili, our sweet momma dog, and her precious puppies have made it through their first night and are doing wonderfully! Chili has been an incredible mama, keeping her little ones warm and well-fed. The puppies are thriving, and we’re seeing their tiny paws and noses already starting to wiggle around as they get stronger by the hour.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has already purchased items from our Amazon wishlist. Your generosity has been a huge help in providing the supplies we need to care for Chili and her babies, from food to bedding and everything in between. We truly appreciate your support!

Tyson is an outgoing boy who makes friends easily with everyone he meets! He loves spending time with his humans and is a big fan of pets and belly rubs! Tyson has been waiting two months at the cattery watching all of his buddies find their homes - but he hasn't found his family yet! We are hoping he will find his home for the holidays where he can be spoiled and loved!

This week, we rescued Chili, a sweet, pregnant foster dog from one of our rural shelter partners. Just a few days after she joined us, she unexpectedly went into labor and gave birth to a beautiful litter of puppies today! While we’re thrilled that she delivered her puppies safely, we now need your help to provide Chili and her pups with everything they need during this special but challenging time.

✨️ Calm, Happy Girl ✨️

Hazel is a beautiful, loving girl who enjoys the simple things in life! She loves naps in the sun on her kitty bed or a fuzzy blanket, and she loves getting pets from her humans! She is also often found batting around kitty toys, content to keep herself entertained when her humans are not around. It doesn't take much to keep her happy.

Hazel will start off shy, but over time, her guard will come down, and she is such a sweet and gentle girl. She is very calm natured and would do best in a calm home. Hazel will make a wonderful companion. She really enjoys spending time with her person and doesn't like it when you stop petting her - she loves spending time with her humans near!

Hazel has been waiting too long (over 2 months) for her people to come along, and we hope she can find her forever home for the holidays.

🎉🐾 Huge congratulations to our sweet pups Raven and Mr. Beefy! 🐾🎉

After a longer-than-expected journey, these two beautiful black dogs have found their forever homes this week! 🖤 It took a little longer for them to find their match, but just look at them now—surrounded by love and ready to start their next chapter. 🏡💕

Raven and Mr. Beefy’s stories are a reminder of the heartbreaking reality of Black Dog Syndrome, where black dogs are often overlooked in shelters because of outdated myths or simply because they blend into the shadows. Sadly, this means they can sometimes take longer to find a home. But today, we’re celebrating the fact that they’ve defied the odds and found families that see their true beauty, inside and out. 🖤

Every dog deserves a loving home and we are here to advocate for our pups until they find theirs. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible and to their new families for giving these two wonderful pups a chance at happiness. 🐶❤️

Want to get involved in animal welfare but can’t foster? Join us as a DOG ADOPTION EVENT volunteer! As part of our team, you'll help coordinate the day-of operations for our adoption events. With the cooler weather approaching, we need more hands on deck to host these events more frequently. Here’s what you can expect as a volunteer:

🐶 Transport supplies like tables and tents
🐶 Set up and take down the event
🐶 Facilitate introductions between potential adopters and dogs
🐶 Screen adoption applications to ensure a good match
🐶 Connect with community partners for future events

We ask that volunteers commit to one event per month, typically on weekends, lasting 3-4 hours. Join us in making a difference!

Nala is the longest resident at the cat cafe. She has been there since January 💔 someone needs this sweet girl in their life!

Our cats are SO loved during their time with us. We get seriously attached to these little ones. Nala here is especially near to our hearts as one that has simply been with us far too long. Most cats are in and out in just a couple of weeks, but this sweetheart has been waiting for her human since January 💔 Here are some words from one of our staff that loves her:

“My friend, Nala, has been here since January 11th, making her the longest resident at this time. She is very shy but she loves treats and head/neck scratches — you can often times find her gazing out the window by the cat tree. She would love for you to come visit her and give her the chance to flourish in your home ❤️”
