Truley is currently being fostered by our family. She has Hydrocephalus. Her condition causes "water", cerebral spinal fluid to build up around her brain. The fluid puts pressure on her brain. Truley is significantly developmentally delayed. Truley is under the care of Willow Run Animal Hospital. Upon her rescue, she had a serious urinary tract infection. She is urinary incontinent and gets freque
nt UTIs and has needed several rounds of antibiotics. Truley is a happy-go-lucky pup who loves life! Our vet has advised us not to move Truley, as she stresses out quite easily. The stress of another move could seriously jeopardize her health. Our rescue takes in primarily cats and kittens who were born outside, sick, or injured. Occasionally we take in a special needs dog. Truley was found wandering on her own and was taken to East Cocalico police department. From there, she was moved to the Lancaster SPCA. At the SPCA they took great care of her while she waited for her 48 hour hold to run out so she could go to a rescue. At the end of her hold time no dog rescues had made definitive plans to pick her up, so our cat rescue did. Also, to clarify, we are NOT looking for a family to adopt Truley. Truley is very happy in her current home and loves her dog and cat brothers and sisters and especially loves her human mama!
