Bob will be your best bud. He has been failed by his original "family" who moved and left him in the yard with their trash. He waited at the front door of his now vacant house. It took a miracle to get him safe, and now it's time for his real family to see him snd fall in love.

Big, gorgeous dog friendly Bob is looking for a soft landing, after going through so many changes, including being left behind on the street when his family moved.

He is almost 90 lbs, neutered, fully vaccinated and healthy as an ox. He is potty trained and loves spending time with people. He is dog friendly. We do require a meet and greet to make sure dogs get along.

Bob is very smart and ready to go! Please help Zen Dog CT find Bob his real family.

Update #2- Daniel's rescue tag was dropped and he is in danger again. Fill out the application if you are able to foster.

Poor Daniel, entered the shelter on May 7, as a happy bouncy, hopeful baby. Because of extreme overcrowding, once a puppy reaches 7 months, they are considered "unlikely to be adopted"and are placed on the list to be killed. This guy has reached that unlucky status and will be killed Saturday. Zen Dog CT could help with a foster. Dog friendly.

This is last call for any rescues!!
These babies are all FIXED and fully vetted!!!
How could this be? A shelter fully vetting animals and begging for help.. we do not have room and usually take street dogs, but cannot believe this is happening!! This shelter is 100 over capacity ( one week of intakes) and reaching out to rescues before they kill them.

San Marcos, Texas. We are full, but hoping someone will see this and offer to take a few. They have many others.

Thank you to the village that came together for these two dogs, who were left like trash when the scum " family" moved away. The brindle girl carried her owner's dirty sock around for a few days, like a security blanket. They waited at their old door until animal control took the brindle. Sam Mullin from Shelter a Mutt helped when no one else could be bothered and we are so grateful. They are not technically Zen Dogs but we feel grateful to have facilitated this happy ending for these two 💫

Zen Dog CT will get her fixed so the backyard breeders commenting on the woman's post will have no use for her. She is said to be excellent with dogs and children. The woman is having major surgery and has made up her mind.

Approximately nine weeks ago we were alerted to this situation, in Mission, Texas l, with multiple adult dogs and puppies on this abandoned property. One by one, we have spayed and neutered the adults, purchased kennels and food, vaccinations and found rescues for each adult ( mom is now spayed and adopted by the wonderful foster) and slowly, split the puppies in pairs to rescues. ⏰️ There are still 2 puppies left, safe in foster, but not yet secured in rescue. We need one more rescue to partner with to take even one of the remaining puppies ( 3 vaccinations, dewormed multiple times, socialized). **There is rescue interest in the last 2, if that rescue can raise money for transport. Pledges welcome, state an amount ( we will not collect unless rescue is secure).

I recently saw a post from a rescue in my own state that falsely claims rescues/ shelters are breeding dogs in Texas and selling them to out of state rescue. We all know that this is a total fabrication, a lie. Every day, I see ten posts of litters of puppies scattered on the street in one little area of Texas, including these..if any rescues are interested, I will put you in touch. Lilia Alcorta wrote this "They were born between the bushes and the mother abandoned them. They must be 2 months old and a man who goes to work there feeds them. and they are asking for help, there are 8 babies in the northern area of ​​Houston Tx." If anyone can help find rescue, please comment

Poor, poor Max was forced to have his 9 inch nails trimmed 😂 It's his Achilles heel. Thank you to foster mom and the wonderful staff at Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic for treating him to a celebration after being such a good boy.🍾

Before we start posting fantastic photos, I wanted to share this blooper of Tigger learning the doggie door this past Sunday 😀

Happy hump day ( I don't even like that expression but it just seemed appropriate) from the boys!!

I wanted to show this video because as we got close to the beach, this was the first time I'd heard Tigger show any emotion. Their dad Brad used to bring them to the beach, and this was very close to their old home.

Monte, the howling dog, whose owners moved and left him on the street. He howled his way into so many hearts but now that he is safe, no one seems to be paying attention to him. He is in a foster, who took him temporarily, and the decision was made not to send him to the rescue who collected 800 in donations for. Anyone interested in fostering in CT ( would need to be foster to adopt while we get him through some minor, non contagious health issues.
