Assured Home and Pet Care is proud to operate out of the Traditional Territory of the Blackfoot, Tsuut’ina, Stoney Nakota and Métis People.
Last year we set our annual reconciliation goal to complete the Indigenous Canada course offered by the UofA. This course has been profoundly impactful, and we would recommend that all Canadian citizens take it. Canada’s past has irrevocably affected our present and will continue to impact our future without a commitment to truth and reconciliation by all our citizens. Individually we may not have been part of the problem, but we can all be a part of the solution, and learning is an important step towards that.
We understand that reconciliation is not a one-time event – it is a multi-generational journey that involves all Canadians – and we are committed to playing our part in the ongoing journey of reconciliation. Our company goal for this year will be to attend a meeting with an Elder or Knowledge Keeper in the Elders’ Guidance Circle at the Calgary Public Library to discuss and learn more about reconciliation.
