Friends,

I have not produced boa for two years and doubt I will this year. I know many have emailed or messaged and gotten no response.

Let me explain. I've spent the last year making corrections to the consequences that stem from a massive hole of neglect that permeated much of my life during a long stretch of failure to make peace with a medication for nerve pain due to swollen disks in my lower back. I was taking a medication for nerve pain that is also used to treat depression, an issue I fortunately do not have. I'm finally off of that medication and have something that is working. I do not take pain killers.

I planned to produce a few boa this season but the last few weeks have positioned me potentially in a much larger fight, possibly for my very life. The details aren't public fodder for now and I would like to keep it that way. I have no solid answers myself at this point.

Locality boa keepers are a small community. I plan to one day engage again but for now please understand if I'm unresponsive to attempts to communicate.

Thanks,

Tommy Carpenter

30 years ago I met Bryan and Lori. We were all little more than kids. All so young and passionate about herpetoculture. Buying and trading colubrids at the local shows, they were always genuine and sincere.

Brian and Lori took their passion to great heights and inspired herpers all over the globe.

You will be missed old friend.

Goodbye is not the end, but the start of a new beginning. We love you, Brian. Subscribe To My Linktree: https://linktr.ee/brianbarczykBecome A Y...

Good Saturday Morning herpers. A lot is going on at TC Reptile. The boa studio is almost done with a remodel and there are several new long term breeding projects in the works. I've been quiet for a few years but the boas and I are still here and looking forward to making more goo.

I hoped for a better outcome but this mornings Belem, Brazil litter consisted of 1 slug, one doa and 2 perfect big babies. Yes they are a pair but are destined to be holdbacks. None for sale this year. A project ten years in the works. This was their first year.

The storm just dropped off 10 Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico boas. A perfect slug free litter. Pics once they eat.

Well the Tamaulipas, Mexico cloud forrest boas were the first to the finish line this year. No surprise really. 6.4 perfect babies and zero slugs. Photos to come later. Had a few surprises this litter.
