Hey friends! ACF has so many valued volunteers, those who volunteer in so many, many ways. For this post, we want to shout out to Donna Maginness and Kay Venyard for their continued support of ACF! Once again, their support at our garage sale was much needed and much appreciated! Thx Girls!

Thanks to our friends at Pet Supplies Plus - Lees Summit, MO, we were able to donate much-needed pet food to Chain of Hope. They kindly sent Debbie to collect the donation. Chain of Hope also provides foster homes for the local kitten population. Notably, kitten season appears to be a year-round phenomenon lately. Currently, they have 5 foster families and 17 kittens, so if you could possibly provide foster care for cats or kittens, they would greatly appreciate your support.

Angel's Care Fund (ACF) recently had an awesome encounter, which resulted in making a new friend. Our new friend, Mixed Mutt & Company Doggy Boutique, posted on social media simply asking for a response to their post. How easy was that? After responding, we learned ACF was the recipient of one of Mixed Mutts' generous giveaway packages. How cool! Picking up our fun items, meeting Sherri Corwin, and learning about this lovely boutique was a true pleasure. Please stop by this cute shop on the Historic Independence Square. Bring your doggo, and get ice cream for both of you, homemade & doggie approved. ACF will be using the cool gifts they received from Mutts to raise funds to help shelter/rescues in our community. TY Mutts! We'll see you soon!

Tis the season.... garage sale season that is! We are joining a neighborhood garage sale (Arbores' neighborhood in Lee’s Summit) thanks to Cindy Marshall. Mark your calendar, the date of the sale is right around the corner, May 15 thru 17, 2025. We need, would love and appreciate set-up help as well as salespeople and donation items. Today was Emmy's big day! Because of a wonderful rescue, Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue, and her fantastic foster, Emmy went to the University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center for a lifesaving surgery. These types of surgeries are very expensive, but as Pawsitive Tails shared, Emmy deserves a chance. Thank you to all Pawsitive Tails donors. Please read Emmy's story. Also, thank you to Angel's Care Fund (ACF) donors. We were honored to contribute to Emmy's surgery on your behalf. If you like helping ACF help dogs, rescues/shelters, and surrounding KC area communities, please consider making an online donation. The need is constant, and we do so much together.

As we continue our outreach partnership with Pet Supplies Plus (PSP) and the Community Services League (CSL) of Independence Community Services League and others, more donations are being delivered. Most of us know of many wonderful things CSL does to support families and people in need. Pet supplies are very appreciated and make it possible for pet owners to keep their cherished pets. ACF is honored to be a small part of the process.

This sweet soul sadly found herself in extreme dire straits. However, she was found and saved, initially, by an angel. The stars aligned for Star with one of our awesome local rescues Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue , veterinary care and foster homes. Star is now beginning to shine. Upon first veterinary assessment not only was her body extremely emaciated, Star was very anemic, Star also has Ehrlichia (a tick borne illness), and as if all that isn’t bad enough…she’s also heartworm positive 💔😩.
Because of all involved in Star's recovery, including a loving community, Star is improving daily and she has such a grateful heart. Please read her story and contribute to her care if your are moved to. Angel's Care Fund was happy to help and had the ability to do so because of our donors, ty.
