I can’t believe I am writing this today. Teddy was killed by a car last night ( he got out of his yard in the night.)
Teddy was one of my first dog walking clients out here in Yucca Valley and was my first project dog for dog training school. I walked him every Monday and Friday morning for the last year and had an incredible bond with him. He was one of the happiest, sweetest dogs I have ever met and I am beside myself with grief over this loss.
I am so grateful Teddy was a part of my life. I learned so much from him. You will be forever cherished in my heart. I’m going to miss seeing you every week. I can’t believe yesterday was our last walk together. I’m heartbroken 💔

Had a great first session with Roczen and Rudy today. Didn’t get any photos so here’s a weird clip of us transitioning into some other work. Dog training school got me in the habit of filming everything I do. Not just for myself but for my clients. When I work with you and your dogs I try to record as much as we can so that we have a visual way to track progress and so that you can look back at what we did and use it during your own sessions. 🙌🏽

A little outtake from my DS/CC session with Ruby yesterday. Ruby tends to bark at vehicles passing by, and her parents want her to be a bit less triggered when she hears/see’s them.
We are working to help her feel more calm around vehicles passing her property-especially delivery vehicles. I prefer to use a “yes” marker in this specific situation but don’t always- it depends on the stimuli. So many dogs in the desert have acres upon acres to rehearse behaviors that are less than ideal. It can be a hard situation for many pet parents to navigate. I am finding that desensitization and counter conditioning to sights and sounds on properties with fences is extremely helpful for pets and their parents and I would love to do more of it!

Helping miss Raina feel more comfortable about all of the new sounds and sights in her new neighborhood. She has been extra startled and vocal since moving to her new extra exciting neighborhood. Lots of dogs barking, cars going by, people talking. She did great!
