Every once in a blue moon we get a dog in that makes one of us pause and think… I definitely need another dog. Lumi for me has been that dog. I have stressed, and wondered, and discussed all the possible scenarios in which Lumi stays with me. However, as is the conundrum, if a spot in my home fills up, there will be no room at the inn for other needy dogs… so I am looking for the most PERFECT home for Perfect, cheeky, naughty Lumi.

Lumi is a 9year old Alaskan husky. He has some arthritis starting, but is still a spry, wild old lad. He is about 55lbs. He is good living with dogs, cats and children. He can be crusty with new/rude/young/senseless dogs; however, is currently living harmoniously with 4 female dogs. He would NOT enjoy dog parks or “play dates” he is too old for that s**t.
Lumi LOVES hiking off leash. His recall is really good. His new home must be committed to bonding with him and allowing him safe off leash time.
Lumi is crate trained, and prefers being crated in the car. Lumi is 95% housetrained. He is not destructive or noisy when left home alone (with other dogs). He does not pull on leash much, but thinks leash walks are silly; why walk slow when you can run fast!?!
Lumi must go to a home with another well matched dog.
Lumi has a sense of humour, and can be a cheeky boy, especially around supper time.
He is very affectionate, and loves awkward cuddling.
He has been on car rides, camping, to the beach, met dozens of people and dogs, and is an absolute gem of a dog.
Lumi is looking for a retirement home where he can be smothered in love, treated like the king he is, allowed the freedom and adventure he so deserves, and provided with all the creature comforts the indoor pet dog life brings. Interesting article....Stan used to have a combo of eye secretion, red itchy ears on and off and flatulence....since switching to a raw food diet, with G’s Formula, pumpkin and CBD oil, that is all gone....not one fart since! Haha. And as a bonus, his poops are like little tootsie rolls, perfect firmness and about a third the size they were on a dehydrated whole food diet that included oats.
