Available for adoption!
Some of you guys may recognize this face. Re-introducing Frankie previously known as Barry. Frankie was born into care last year and was adopted as a pup but unfortunately things just didn’t work out for him. Frankie is now a year old and looking for his forever home. See what his foster has to say about him 👇
Frankie is a really intelligent, snuggly boy with a big personality and a lot to say. He loves to play with other dogs and go for walks but is just as happy to curl up in bed or on the couch with you. He loves to give kisses and chew on antlers, cheese bones, and other dog toys. He's a relatively good walker but will sometimes pull on the leash to try and meet other dogs. Frankie came to us after his previous owners witnessed some possible resource guarding/food aggression issues but he has yet to show this side of him in foster care. Currently he sits and waits patiently for his release word at breakfast and dinner time with the other 3 dogs in his foster home close by. His fosters are able to push him around, take his toys and food, and play with his mouth while he is eating or playing with toys but he will sometimes growls if another dog tries to take his toys. Despite this he is quickly learning with his foster parents. He knows his basic commands and they're being worked on along with things like "heal" and "backup". He will leave unguarded food and treats on low counters and tables if you ask him to "leave it". He can be a bit pushy during play, he has a bit of the husky stubbornness so if he is with other dogs they need to be able to communicate that they're done playing. He won't back down from a fight but also won't start one of his own volition. He is very gentle when taking treats, toys, and food. He will sometimes chew a bit on his leash during walks so he likes to walk with a toy that he can mouth when he gets excited. He's got the puppy energy and is in his teenage phase. Overall he's a really good dog who will quickly adapt to your routine given proper attention.
