Vanilla Bean, Hurricane, Helios, Kairos, Kronos, Nyx
all of them are OGs but I have no plans for in the immediate future. And selective breeding has advanced so much in the last few years that they just aren’t ones that are catching people’s eyes either. Someone needs to start a gecko retirement facility.

I need suggestions to help control fruit flies. The UV light traps haven’t really worked in the past. They are quite literally everywhere — garbages, bathroom, drains, etc. We are trying desperately to get ahead of them but it feels impossible.

I don’t want to hear one word about my fingernails đŸ˜‚đŸ˜© I was digging for eggs! But this pretty lady is due to lay any day now! She is a 2021 Neo x Mistress offspring and she is hopefully gravid to Radar (Firewall x Set, Crystalline Geckos). Radar has some really neat lineage, including Kobe, Owen and Frankie, and this lady has Chowder, Velvet and Pepper in hers, so I think this will be a really nice cross.

đŸŒ and babies! (Note: the tiny white things are springtails, but you can see a few mancae as well! I’ve had these guys for only a few short months — they have been one of my fastest species to reproduce for me so far.

What the heck 😂 she even leans into the water when I pull it away from her. I can see that single brain cell bouncing around 😆

Mice are such nurturing, social creatures. My girls are always grooming each other and they raised their babies communally. Speaking of babies, the majority of them went to Snake Discovery today. Emily was so sweet and emailed me after thanking me and assuring me they were settled in to their breeding colonies for the future. It was a hard day though, I got really attached to them and their unique little personalities.

I could watch isopods all day! This little one decided to snatch a piece of moss 😂 Isopod availability: - Cubaris Murina “papaya” - Armadillidium Peraccae - Armadillidium Maculatum (zebra) - Porcellio Scaber “Koi” - Porcellio Scaber “Dalmatian” - Porcellio Laevis “Dairy Cow” - Armadillidium Werneri

This little lady was mid-swallow of a mealworm when she decided that she just had to murder the water from the mister. She’s usually very sweet but bugs make her insane 😂

Dad mouse is such a sweetheart. He has such a good temperament. Super chill and has never nibbled me. His babies are also very sweet.

Pretty sure those aren’t your babies but okay then! She takes her job as a babysitter very seriously!

Park and the three older babies. They are actually not her babies, they are Blue’s (grey female) but I have seen Parm care for the lighter colored one and nurse it, so I’m not sure if she is pregnant herself and adopted one, or if she gave birth to just one baby at the same time as Blue. I know for sure the other two darker babies are Blue’s. As for the new babies, I have no idea who’s they are as I have seen all three females caring for them and both Parm and Blue nursing them. The other female cares for them too but I haven’t seen her nurse them yet. I definitely have a little mouse nursery going on!

Sound on 🔈 I angered this little buggar but I wanted to check on it! The bigger it gets, the feistier it gets 😂

To think this girl came to me so full of parasites she had literally no appetite or energy whatsoever is kind of crazy when I see her like this đŸ€Ł she loves loves loves her food, especially bugs! I feel extra bonded to her because of the extra special care she needed her first few months here.

Should have some #wernerii available as soon as it warms up!

I’ve had the pea puffers for a little over a year now! I have 2 of the original 3 left and am hoping to get a few more for my birthday in a week (hint hint). These little guys remind me of little water owls 🩉 when they look straight at you! P.S. don’t mind the algae. I set this tank up a few months ago and it’s going through a bit of new tank syndrome. I tend to just let new tanks balance themselves out rather than mess with a bunch of parameters, as I’ve found they generally do balance out with time and water changes.

Now here’s a face we don’t see very often, Hurricane! Mostly because he spends all day in his cork tubes and despises any human contact. I can relate, buddy!

The Crested Closet focuses on Crested Geckos because of their diversity, their relatively simple care, and the thrill of producing something completely unexpected, though we do keep other species simply as pets (for now).

We do not keep a large number of geckos, as we pride ourselves on breeding quality over quantity. We focus primarily on high-contrast individuals with a high amount of white and cream.
