We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process and will continue to be a helpful resource after you have welcomed your new pets into your life...
We are determined to keep administrative expenses extremely low so that virtually every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of the dogs. Fundamentally all donations will be spent directly on the care of the animals.

Safe Thanksgiving foods to feed to dogs:

Turkey meat (no bones, no skin)

Sweet Potatoes

Potatoes

Apples

Green Beans (raw)

Plain peas

Pumpkin (must be pure. Not pre-spiced or sugary)

Avoid feeding your dog these foods:

Turkey bones, skin, and gravy

Stuffing

Casseroles

Mashed potatoes

Creamed peas

Chocolate, cookies, pies, and sweets (as well as anything “sugar-free” or containing xylitol, which can be fatal for dogs)

Alcoholic beverages

Raisins and grapes

Onions, scallions, and garlic

Ham

Yeast dough

Fatty foods

Foods containing spices

Our handsome boy, Wolfie, is still available for adoption! He just got groomed and is looking oh so dapper! Wolfie is about 2 years old. Kids in your house should be older, as Wolfie can be a bit rambunctious when he plays and would knock over a younger child. Cats are an unknown right now.

Morgans Foster here. I can honestly say I've never had such a great foster experience as I've had with Morgan other than the dog a failed and kept 😆! She is a puppy but is wise beyond her years. We took a walk around Vint Hill Park, over to OBH and back and stopped and got belly rubs by the ballpark. She walks really well on a leash, and is only 5 months old.

Wolfie

Victor aka Walter absolutely loves his toys. The squeakier the better. He is approximately 7 months old. Good with other dogs especially small ones. Cats are an unknown at this point. Good with people, grown up and kids. Potty trained and crate trained. Walks fairly well on the leash. He is generally a very active puppy and will need an active home. But he can also chill. He will be available for adoption in a few weeks after he is neutered. However we are currently accepting adoption applications. https://www.promisesanimalrescue.org/info/adoption
