Savannah's Story ~ A Walk Through Paralysis

Savannah is a spunky, adorable, joy-filled, tail wagging, body wagging, happy, super smart little tri-colored American cocker spaniel who is 3 years, 9 months old. She has always been athletic and we joke that she could catch anything, anytime, and get "some hoop!" She is amazing, adored and cherished. We never in a million years thought she would sudde

nly wake up paralyzed on Wednesday morning, unable to move her back legs, walk, stand, run, merrily wag her tail, squat or use the outdoor facilities. Diagnosed with IVDD, was a complete surprise. Intervertebral disk disease (IVDD) can cause a number of symptoms in domestic dogs, ranging from signs of mild pain to partial or complete paralysis.
