Is your horse lame (again)? Sooner or later every horse [and rider] will have to deal with this. It is one of the most common conditions in horses. You notice that your horse is lame if he or she cannot position one (or more) legs properly.
The cause of this could be anything. However, it is about how you can help your horse recover as best as possible.
The BR ConCord Leader is a good tool for this. You can use the Leader at different times👇
▶ Preventive: to prevent injuries. Reduces stress, stimulates a more relaxed posture and promotes muscle building
▶ Rehabilitation: 1 to 2 times a day (use every time for very fresh horses)
▶ Training and correction: At least 3 to 4 times a week for 10 minutes for more straight orientation, promoting muscle building, symmetry and improving forward-down reflex.

You can also use the BR ConCord Leader to prevent lameness. Horses will stay out of an injury-prone area because they learn to move forward and downward from the neck ligament, allowing the lower neck to relax and the long back muscle to work properly.

Not only your horse’s back muscles are important, but also the abdominal muscles. Maybe these are perhaps even more important for us to focus on.

If your horse does not use his abdominal muscles properly, the topline will become tight, resulting in tension and stress... When a horse does use his abdominal muscles, the head and neck will drop nicely. This gives the horse more room to move and the back and neck can relax.

The BR ConCord Longe, which you see in the photo, helps your horse to adopt this natural position. The unique thing about the lunge is that it allows your horse to move freely, there is nothing attached that could hinder the movement. It actually helps your horse get into the right form of exercise.

The BR ConCord Leader and BR ConCord Longe may seem very complicated at first glance, due to the rope that is wrapped around the horse. In this video I would like to explain to you exactly how the Leader works. After watching the video you will see that the horse can move very freely when using the BR ConCord Leader.

The BR ConCord Leader connects 3 pressure points to the horse, without forcing the horse in any way. The first pressure point is on the skin and has a reflective effect. This means that the rope works as a kind of massage, creating better blood circulation in that area. The second pressure point is behind the ears, this is also a point where endorphins are released. Because this substance is released, horses feel calm and safe. And the third pressure point is on the mouth. The three pressure points are brought together and distributed by the pulley. The force placed on the rope is therefore distributed over all three pressure points.

The great thing about the BR ConCord Leader is that by asking just a little bit at the mouth, the horse immediately makes that downward movement.

Exercise is as important for us humans as it is for our horses. When you will not be able to train your horse on a daily basis, due to circumstances, then try walking with the BR ConCord Leader. Do this about 3 to 4 times a week, for about 10 minutes. That is enough to notice a visible muscle building in your horse.

Over de ConCord Leader en ConCord Longe
