Hawk is a 2-year-old, 70-lb Labrador who just found his forever home after a rough start. Before being rehomed, he spent 12 hours a day crated, so he’s still learning how to navigate his new life—including how to climb stairs without fear!

His new family has only had him for two days, but they’re already committed to helping him adjust. While he’s sweet, smart, and potty trained, he’s also energetic, jumps, and lunges—so today at Bark Busters Staten Island, we focused on setting a solid foundation for good behavior.

With patience, structure, and the right training, Hawk is on his way to becoming the happy, confident pup he was meant to be! 🐕💙

This 6-month-old, 62lb Golden Retriever is full of energy and love—but with that energy comes jumping, stubbornness, and a need for boundaries! When guests arrive, Elicity gets so excited that she forgets to listen. 🎉🐶

What do we mean when we say we teach you to "Speak Dog?"

Almost every single client we work with experiences a dramatic, if not a complete change in their dog’s behavior after the first lesson! We do this without the use of ANY form of physical corrections or punishment whatsoever. Bark Busters uses a form of primal communication that mimics the way dogs communicate with each other; more specifically the language the mother dog uses to communicate with her pups. This is a very primal, science-based methodology that dogs instinctively understand immediately.

Why? Because it is their language. Praise, love and encouragement are critical in solidifying your dog’s newly formed and wanted behaviors!

Bruno is a handsome guy with a big personality! While he was a little standoffish at first, he warmed up quickly and did great during his session. 🐕💙

✨ What We Love About Bruno:
Potty trained and knows some basic commands—smart and eager to learn!
He’s doing better with other dogs since being neutered, which is a huge step forward.
He’s full of potential and ready to shine with the right guidance.

✨ Challenges We’re Tackling:
Resource guarding: Bruno has shown some protectiveness over items and even nipped the client when she tried to take something away.
Leash manners: While he does well overall, he can get a bit too excited and pull.

Bruno’s journey is just beginning, and with some consistency and love, he’s going to grow into an even more incredible companion.

This sweet, happy puppy is all about energy and excitement! 🐕💨 Enzo’s got a zest for life, but like any young pup, he needs a little help channeling that energy.
