As the mornings get colder and we start defrosting our cars, it’s time to talk about antifreeze. ❄️

Did you know antifreeze (ethylene glycol) has a sweet taste that can attract pets? If they lick it from the driveway or garage floor, it can cause serious health problems.

Tips to keep your pets safe:
- Clean up any spills immediately
- Keep pets away from areas where antifreeze might be present

Watch for these signs of antifreeze poisoning:
- Vomiting
- Lethargy
- Seizures
- Wobbly movement
- Tummy pain
- Excessive drinking

If you suspect your pet has ingested antifreeze, contact your vet IMMEDIATELY.

🌟 Meet Chloe and her pup, Lola! 🌟

These two are ALL IN for fluffy coats, wagging tails, and happy tummies. 🐾

They shared what inspired their switch to us -

"We were initially recommended a switch to raw by our puppy trainer & then referred by a friend to Bella+Duke! As soon as we switched, we saw a dramatic improvement in Lola’s pooping, her appetite, her fur went back to being fluffy compared to coarse, and her energy changed.

We’ve looked at (but never purchased) other brands just because of the cost of B+D, but having looked at the alternatives, I can’t imagine switching to another brand. They all seem to be dried and you add water or something like that, and for us, that just does not feel like the most natural option for our pup." 🐶☀️

Fireworks season can be stressful for pets. 🎆
Here are some tips for the next few days:

🚶If possible walk before dark to avoid unexpected fireworks.
🥰Set up a cosy den that they can use.
🏡Close curtains to block flashes and dampen sound.
📻Play calming music to ease anxiety.
🧴Use calming aids: Try sprays like our Calm and Balmy.
🐕Offer chews like Yak Snacks for comfort.

Our Story

Why B&D? We lost our dogs to cancer. After researching potential cures online, we discovered that the processed food our dogs had eaten their whole lives may have actually caused their illness. We decided something had to be done to educate other dog owners and protect their pets before it was too late. So we rolled up our sleeves, dug into natural dog diets and started making the best raw dog food available anywhere in the country. We promise to stay at the cutting edge of nutrition and continue developing our food so it is as good as it possibly can be. We will never add something to our meals because it might be a good idea and guarantee that every single ingredient we add to our food provides a real benefit to your dog’s health. Part of this improvement process involves listening to you, our customers. We want you to join our Bella & Duke Pack and tell us all about where we’re doing well and where we need to improve.
