We started out as a Pit Bull rescue in 1999. A few years later we saw the great need to take many other dogs out of high kill areas and bring them to Oregon where there is not a severe pet overpopulation and people are looking to rescue! Luvable pulls dogs from extremely overpopulated areas where they have very little time and resources to avoid euthanasia. We are located on 55 acres of beautiful
forest with hiking trails. Most of our dogs live in cottages in communal living with access to their own yards. We provide all veterinary care, spay/neuter, microchip and do a week long sleepover trial with our dogs to make sure each home is the right fit before a family commits to adopting them. Over the years we have also taken in pigs and chickens and have many sanctuaried dogs who are not adoptable for medical or behavioral reasons. In 2021, we started a small rescue cat program, partnering with local rescuers Jaggers Journey and Orphan Paws Project to foster kittens during kitten season. We now have our own rescue cats as well. 🩵If I fits, I sits!😃🩵Buddha!🩵😂🩵Buddha loves to walk, but thought it was kinda fun to get a ride in the stroller!🩵😂🐾Buddha is at least 12 years old and is the longest resident at our sanctuary🩵 He was adopted out twice, but returned for being territorial of property so we made the decision to make him a permanent member of the Luvable family🥰He is gentle and loving with all of us and very loved!🩵

♥️💙Happy Independence Day!💙♥️Meet⭐️Raven/Raisen!⭐️We haven’t decided on a name exactly yet😂This sweet little girl was surrendered by a breeder who didn’t want to deal with her health issues😞
She had a complete work up yesterday and we will do everything we can to get her feeling better and on the road to a healthier life!♥️😊
I’ll post more about her later we just wanted to introduce her to you today🐾🙏🏽She and Pablo were instant friends. !♥️

Pablo is out of surgery and on the mend! We are so grateful for all the donations! He had to go in to the vet urgently yesterday as some of his internal stitches had split, all is well thankfully!

♥️PupDate!♥️Raisen came to us after her breeder/owner gave her up due to multiple health issues💔We are addressing them in order of urgency🐾🙏🏽Raisen had an extremely inflamed bladder, bladder stone, and chronic UTIs♥️She had surgery for the bladder stone and is recovering well!♥️She also has chronic allergies which are improving with a change in diet and medication♥️🙏🏽🐾She also struggles to breathe, which is heartbreaking♥️We will be seeing a specialist to proceed with soft palette reduction surgery if she’s a good candidate🙏🏽♥️🐾Despite all her physical challenges, Raisen is a happy, affectionate, gentle soul🥰She did nothing to deserve the suffering she’s endured.♥️Her issues are the result of poor genetics and irresponsible breeding💔We were told her breeder sells his dogs for huge amounts of money, while his dogs with health problems are gotten rid of, one way or another💔I don’t know how people are allowed to get away with this🤬 Raisen has a long road to recovery, but she’s already feeling better and we promise to keep you posted on her progress!♥️If you’d like to make a donation to help with her medical care, there are links to PayPal and Venmo in our bio🙏🏽♥️🐾 THANK YOU!🙏🏽We could not help dogs like Raisen and Pablo without your support!♥️🙏🏽🐾 • • • #Luvabledogrescue #LittleRescueintheWoods #bullybreed #squishyface #pitbullsofinstagram #dogrescue #adopt #donate
