I have a vacancy for doggie daycare on a Tuesday and a Wednesday. Joining 3-4 dogs at my home and for bespoke walks on or off lead around the parish. Plenty of time to rest, relax and play in the kitchen and garden. 07:30-21:30 for £20. Licensed and insured in a safe and peaceful home environment. Contact me to arrange a visit to see if your dog would be happy here and then we can have a free trial half day. I look forward to hearing from you.

Crazy zooming in the woods

A lovely long walk in the mountains for my holiday. The Picos De Europa in northern Spain. Deserted, spectacular and very steep. Nice to be dog-free for a few days but of course plenty of farm dogs to say hello to. This is the Camino Lebaniego.

If you're thinking about getting a drying coat for your dog, Reggie can recommend this one. The longer legs x4 are very useful. I put these on after their walks to help keep them warm and dry off back at the house. Reggie has had his for a year and it's still good. They're handmade by Julie Taylor, so it's good to support a small business.

4xl -Neck 21" chest 32" length 29". Fleece onesies are perfect for keeping your dog snuggley warm during the colder months. A zip along the back makes these onesies much easier to get on and off. An open under belly area so it doesn't interfere with toileting.

I will be walking in Spain 6-14th October …without dogs!!! Please remember there will be no doggie daycare. Reggie will be having a well earned rest at home too (with Hamish and Clara).

Saw this today and thought of Willow and her rat, Elsie and the bus stop sandwich and dear old Megan and the rabbit which was definitely a tree stump but she liked to check anyway. Any more?

Less than a month to go now until my long walk in Spain. This year it’s the Camino Lebaniego, which goes from the northern coast up into the Picos mountains. Training is going well and excitement is building. I’ll carry all my kit again and stay in dormitories with other pilgrims. This route is not busy and I am a little concerned about the possibility of very few coffee shops for my “2nd breakfast”. Not as many miles as last year but much steeper. Shame I can’t take some dogs with me!
