A big question always asked- when do you recommend spaying or neutering? To prevent unwanted litters, we always recommend fixing a dog. Some people dont want to deal with heat cycles. Others need a fixed dog to be able to keep them at boarding or doggy daycare. Whatever your reason, if at all possible, we recommend waiting until at least 18 months of age. The longer, the better!

Get your kids involved in life skills early. I've spent the last week processing deer, making meatloaf for the freezer, making jerky, sausage, etc. Our 2 yr old has been running the vacuum sealer (with supervision). This morning, we packaged around of jerky and I didn't have to touch the sealer.
