Facebook Friends, we are hosting our Halloween Event this year on Halloween if you are able to volunteer please let me know. We are also in need of vendors. Vendor’s fee is $20 this year and Vendors will be set up in the driveway. Proceeds from this years event will go to helping make repairs to the rescue. As many know we have had to close down until we get repairs done. It’s been difficult bringing in funds to feed the animals let alone to make repairs. More info to come… but if you are able to help out or want to vend, please get with me! Thank you!!!

Our Rescue is currently CLOSED for Repairs. We are NOT able to take in any animals at this time.
Thank you for your continued support

Happy Hooves Farm and Rescue has taken in 2 Heeler mix puppies (brothers approximately 6 months old) who were DUMPED. As most know, we don’t usually take in dogs… so we’re in need of some stuff for these guys.
They are very bonded and scared, but absolute sweethearts! Currently we are introducing them to livestock and they are behaving wonderfully. These boys will need a loving home TOGETHER.
If you would like to pay for their neuter we would greatly appreciate that, as we don’t have the funds to do so at this time. Please message me and I will be happy to provide you with our vet’s information where you can pre-pay for their neuter.
If you are interested in adopting these 2, please also message me and tell me a bit about yourself/family, other pets/animals and where you live. We want these 2 to have the BEST possible home.
Photos of the boys are in the comments. Thank you!

If you’re able to help us in any way, it would be a BLESSING! I NEED $250 to get me to my next paycheck for feed. Any donation amount is a HUGE help. Unfortunately due to my back issues I’m only able to work 2 days a week and this first check was smash. Not even enough to get feed for 4 days. You can send donations through cash app $ChristinaCimics Venmo or through Facebook pay. Your help and support is greatly appreciated.
Or you can help by sponsoring one of the animals in the pictures, either one time or monthly. Thank you.

Moo and Fergie are permanent residents of our rescue. They are Best Friends! And they are in need of sponsorship as well. Fergie is in need of shearing, hoof trim as well as her vaccinations. Moo is also in need of vaccinations and LOTS of hay. If you are able to help these 2 buddies by making a monthly sponsorship or even a small donation it would be greatly appreciated. Also if you know of anyone who can shear this sweet girl, please let us know. She is well overdue! Thank you.

We NEED to find a Sponsor for MIA until she can be adopted out to a loving home. Mia is currently in need of her shots, deworming and a farrier. Finances are very thin right now and I desperately need your help. If you can sponsor Mia either one time or monthly it would be a BLESSING for this beautiful girl. You can send your sponsorship to our cash app $ChristinaCimics or to our Venmo
$100/mo. Would help with this beauty’s shots, deworming, farrier, feed and hay. If you’re able to help in any way, even a small donation it would be a HUGE help to her and us. Thank you.

Hello Everyone!
Happy Hooves Farm & Rescue is in NEED of YOUR support. We need to raise funds for both feed and hay. Our rescue is ran solely from donations, and every little bit helps TREMENDOUSLY! We're going to be in NEED of round bales within the week. We purchase 2 at a time for about $60-$75 a piece. We need feed (which we purchase from Big Bear Hardware Inc. for about $12.75 per 50lb bag of All-Stock 12). IF you are able to HELP in anyway by making a donation of any kind, our animals would greatly appreciate it! You could donate via Cash App $ChristinaCimics or Venmo , or even by going by Big Bear Hardware Inc. and purchasing feed (they will hold it there for us to pick up)! Again, your love and support is GREATLY appreciated. Any amount is a blessing! Thank you.

It’s been a little bit since we’ve had to do this, but we’re in desperate NEED of your help. I’m no longer able to work due to degenerative disk disease and we need BOTH feed and Hay. We buy All Stock 12 from Big Bear here in LaVernia, for anyone wanting to donate/purchase feed (it’s about $12.75 per bag and we go through 150lbs of feed per day or 3 bags). We can get round bales of hay for $60-$75 per bale right now, we go through 2 at the very least every 3-4 weeks. Anyone able to make a donation of any kind please donate via our Cash App $ChristinaCimics or via our Venmo
Your donations are greatly appreciated. We’re currently trying to downsize and adopt out those able to be adopted out. We’re unable to take in anymore needing placement at this time, until my pain is better managed and under control and we’re financially ready, we are not able to accept any new rescues or surrenders. As of right now, we’re not closing the rescue. We just need a little time to regroup and heal.
Thank you for your continued love and support.

Happy Hooves Farm & Rescue
We are a small Farm & Farm Animal Rescue in La Vernia, TX. Our mission is to save farm animals from a life of neglect & abuse or to help save those who cannot be properly cared for; to rehabilitate and re-home them to safe and loving homes to live out the rest of their days. We are BOTH a Farm and a Rescue!
Happy Hooves Farm & Rescue was formed at the end of 2018, and we took in our first rescues January 9, 2019. We believe in the essence of farming, and believe that all animals should be cared for, loved and provided for until the end of their lives. We strongly believe that NO animal should ever be mistreated or abandoned. Therefore, we gladly accept farm animals (and other small pets/animals) that people can no longer care for, for whatever reason. A lot of the time, it is due to a death, a sudden accident, or overwhelming life situations. We’ve also taken in kids’ 4-H projects! Sometimes, people take on farm animals not knowing fully what they are getting themselves into, only to realize that they cannot care for them after some time. (This happens a lot with “Easter Bunnies”, ducks and chickens!) On occasion someone will find a farm animal abandoned on their new property, or babies that have been rejected by their mother, or left for dead. We take in these animals, rehabilitate them & then adopt them out. We pass NO JUDGEMENT here! On occasion, we do accept animals in need of sanctuary - these “rescues” are NOT available for re-homing or adoption. They are accepted on the premise that they will live out the rest of their lives here on our farm, to be loved and cared for by us. However, we ONLY do this in the event that we know we are capable of properly caring for these animals long term, on our own.
We understand that sometimes, things happen in our lives that are unforeseen, and we also know that sometimes that “great gift” might not have been the best idea. We are happy to help whenever we can.
We do screen our prospective adoptive families. We want to ensure that each animal does not end up in the same circumstances from which it came. We do not make our adoption fees low in hopes of avoiding this scenario. Many times (as stated before) people "think" they want a farm animal as a pet, only to discover that either it is more costly than expected or that sometimes, farm animals are just that - a farm animal, not all animals can be domesticated. We work hard to ensure that adoptive families are educated and have knowledge of the type of animal they are attempting to adopt. We will decline an applicant if we feel that the person is not committed to the care of the animal, educated or unwilling to be educated on the type of animal, if the applicant doesn't have proper housing or fencing; etc. This is all to ensure the safety and well-being of the animals we adopt out.
Our plans for the future include opening a Petting Farm Party Venue. Funds from the Petting Farm Parties will go into providing upkeep of shelters, vet care, feed, hay, vaccinations and many other things needed to care for the animals on a daily basis, as well as in the event of an emergency.
We’re also looking into possibly hosting Week Long Day Camps during the spring and summer for children ages 6-12 to learn about the animals; have some hands on experience and to do arts & crafts pertaining to farm animals & the farm. This venture is not yet ready to be embarked upon, but it is in our future plans. We’re hoping to get this going for the Summer of 2021!
Additionally we’d like to begin offering individual/family type tours of our rescue on an appointment only basis. But the Covid-19 pandemic has unfortunately brought this to an abrupt halt. When we are able to re-open to the public for tours, we do ask that a DONATION be made to go towards the care of the animals here on the farm. You can schedule your individual/family tour by sending us a message. Tours will include meeting all the animals here on the farm & hearing some of their stories, a little education on the kinds of animals here at our farm and rescue, feeding some of our goats by hand, petting our sweet miniature horse Puzzle, petting the rabbits and getting to play with baby goats (if there are any available at the time of the tour). We also have a very sweet older standard donkey, named Samurai Jack who LOVES treats and enjoys eating from your hand. He’s a bit of an attention hog to be honest! Visitors will be allowed to bring appropriate treats (carrots, apples, bananas, pears or oat & honey bars) for Samurai if they wish to do so. We do ask that if you bring treats, fruits & vegetables are cut in a way that minimizes the risk of choking, such as in sticks (no whole apples or pears - they must be cut or sliced). Visitors will be able to pet our larger horses (and can also provide treats such as carrots or apple slices if they so wish), see the ducks, chickens, roosters and potbelly pigs as well.
Private Group Tours for 10 or more people will also be offered in the future (after the pandemic). Private Group Tours will be available for churches, schools, daycares; etc. We will ask for a minimum $70 DONATION for admission with 2 FREE chaperones, additional chaperones are $5 per person. Group tours will need to be scheduled 2 - 4 weeks in advance and all visitors & minors will need to have a liability release signed by their parent or guardian before the tour. Group Tours will be allowed to bring lunches to enjoy at our picnic tables and if you wish, appropriate snacks for the animals (as listed above). When we re-open to the p***c, if you would like to arrange a tour or want additional information, please contact us via messenger.
We always welcome volunteers (after the pandemic is over)! As we have plenty of projects to tend to and the animals LOVE the extra attention!
Finally, if you or someone you know has found that you can no longer care for an animal, please contact us. We will gladly take your animal in, if we have proper shelter/housing and the means to care for your animal until it is adopted out. If we are unable to take an animal in, we may have other contacts that we will gladly reach out to.
