Up until now, it’s been friends and family nail clippings, but today we got to test out our groomer, Gael’s incredible dog whispering and fur styling skills. Spoiler alert: she’s AMAZING! Meanwhile, the store has been buzzing with activity. We’ve been selling out of so many items that a major restock was in order. Plus, we tackled an exciting challenge: finalizing our official store hours! With the dog deli and human hangout concept now fully fleshed out, it’s time to spread the word. We had a surprise visit from the Georgia Department of Agriculture for a grooming room inspection—and guess what? We passed! That means we’re officially adding grooming services to the nail appointments we’ve already been offering. It’s a big step, and we couldn’t be more excited to pamper your pups even more. The fun didn’t stop there. We hosted a photoshoot for some new furry friends, and let me tell you, the happy faces and wiggly butts was the highlight of our day! We also swung by the Brice Hotel after they ran out of our brochures (a good problem to have, right?). We’ve been cooking up something special with their concierge, Kelly, to make Savannah extra magical for pet-loving visitors. Can’t wait to share more soon! And to top it all off, we got to dog-sit Annie, Abbie Girl’s sister from another mister. These two senior gals spent the day lounging around the store together and greeting customers. Eric and the pups had their paws full keeping a close watch on the store, making sure everything was storm-ready. It turned into a late-night adventure as we kept an eye on things, hoping the shop would stay safe from flooding. In the middle of the storm prep, we also had a fantastic meeting with SamPR and our talented graphic design intern, Sophia. Now that the concept is coming together, we discussed exciting ways to get the word out about our new store. It’s time to let the world know what we’re doing here! The day wasn’t complete without a few visits from some brave local friends, but for the most part, Savannah is hunkering down for the storm. Today, Ollie B. and Abbie Girl made some new friends on their way to work, and we had a photoshoot in the store! Now that everything is set up for the Dog Deli and Human Hangout, it’s time to show the world what we’ve been working on! Speaking of photoshoots, Kelly stopped by from the Savannah Chamber of Commerce with Savannah’s Official Map for 2024. You’ll never guess who’s on the 2024 cover - Abbie Girl is famous (ok Eric is too). Later, we were thrilled to meet some Biscuit Club members who made a special stop in Savannah just to say hello. They even shared their unique Ollie B. biscuit ritual with their sweet pup, Charlie. It was heartwarming to see! But the HUGE news is we had our very first grooming appointment—Louie came in for some pampering and helped us test out the new dog spa. Lots, lots more to come with our very unique Dog Spa, Bathhouse & Grooming. We do things a touch different. It’s ALL about the dog and having a positive, healthy and happy experience. More on that in coming WAGS. Of course, we ended the day just like we started it—by meeting more amazing pack members. One of Ollie’s new buddies even showed off some cool tricks! After months of planning, designing, city approvals, and waiting on the canvas company, our brand-new awning finally arrived and is installed! We also had some furry friends stop by! Sadie the Cavalier came with her pet parents to pick out some food from the dog deli and give Oliver Bentley’s treats a taste test. We think Ollie might have a new crush! And Fitz, the local Schnauzer, made our first sale of Fromm dog food! But that’s not all—the neon sign for our dog spa went up too, and the space is almost finished! Today Eric, Ollie B, and Abbie were recognized on the street after our recent news segment aired on the local news. Ollie B is turning into a bit of a local celebrity, and we couldn’t be prouder! It was also a special day for another reason—today we hosted our first Columbia Square monthly meetup! We are beyond grateful for the warm welcome from this amazing community, and it truly feels like we’ve joined a new family. The store was buzzing with energy as tourists and locals (and their pups!) filled the space. With so many canine pack members running around, it can be tough to stay on task—but seeing everyone’s tails wagging makes it all worth it. Today was a busy and eventful day despite the heavy rain! With the dog spa coming together, it was the perfect time for Groomer Gail to test out her brand-new workstation. We’re not sure Ollie was thrilled about being the test pup, but he’s looking fresh with his new trim! We also had some adorable visitors, both locals and tourists, stop by to say hello. Little puppy Bear was the star of the day with his cuteness overload! In this WAG be on the lookout for local dogs: Grisha, Sammy, Rufus, Razzle-Dazzle, Tony. WAG-74 is up on our YouTube channel. Eric got the free coffee station up and running, and it’s already a hit with our pack members! In this Wag, we’re flashing back to the previous week when we got some exciting deliveries, including some really cool leashes, collars, and a very special deli apron that we can’t wait to show off. But the real highlight? Meeting a ton of new pack members! We had a super fun tour with lots of canine customers stopping by. And guess what? You get to meet T.J. for the first time! He’s going to be popping up a lot more in our Wags, and we’re sure you’re going to love him as much as we do.
