Did you know...

We were a vendor at the Dog Days event this week. What a whirlwind of a week it’s been! I poured my heart and soul into preparing for the Dog Days of Bridgeton event, and I’m thrilled to say it was all worth it.

I had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people and their furry friends, making the day an absolute blast.

As we catch our breath and get back into the swing of things, please bear with us as we work on updating our inventory. In the meantime, we’ve got mystery scrunchies and bandanas available, and we’ll be adding more ready-to-ship items very soon! Stay tuned! 🐾

She just wanted to join in on the Olympics...

Precious little Perla thought she was a doggy athlete and jumped off the top step at her foster home. Her little body wasn't ready for that, and she broke her leg (both the radius and ulna)!

She required immediate surgery to repair her leg and will be laid up for a bit. This was a big unexpected expense for the rescue, and they need to raise $3500 for her. Their venmo is paypal is [email protected]

#1 reason why you should think about fostering dogs…

Shelters are becoming overcrowded…

This leads to waived adoption fees and other measures that place stress on these facilities. Sometimes, shelters have to transfer dogs to other locations to manage overflow, which can add stress to both dogs and humans.

Did you know that by taking a dog out of the shelter and providing a temporary home,not only do you help the dog decompress.The space you free up in the shelter can be filled by another dog in need, who might otherwise face euthanasia due to lack of space. Is there an age limit for helping rescues?

Yes, some animal rescues do require you to be a certain age to be able to go and help out at the animal rescue. While some may have ways to get around that rule, like volunteering alongside an adult, some rescues won't let kids help out for safety reasons.

So how can kids help animal rescues until they become of age to help?

🏠Help your guardian foster animals in your house

🧁Do lemonade stands or bake sales and donate the funds to your local animal rescue

🎨Draw adoptable animals at the shelter and sell the art and donate the funds to your local animal rescue or do a fundraiser where you draw people's animals in exchange for a donation to the rescue.

Hiya Georgie 🤡

Does anyone recognize the movie that saying was from?

Okay, let's get to the important stuff ⬇️

Beautiful Georgie has been in her foster home now for several weeks and is slowly but surely coming out of her shell. Her foster mom works from home, so Georgie is lucky to have very little alone time, and she has a canine brother who has become her good buddy. Georgie's biggest needs will be a family that can work on building her confidence as new experiences are still a challenge for her. Georgie unfortunately gets car sick, but Benadryl seems to help, and we think in time, building up from short trips to good experiences will help with that.

Her foster mom says,
" I love how sweet and gentle she is. She has this cute little face and she has one ear the points straight out to the side and the other flops over. She loves affection. She loves a lap to bury her face in and just wants you to cuddle. I love how she sleeps on her back with her legs either tucked in or out straight, she's such a good girl!"

The puppies are 6 months old (July 2024). They are social and sweet, and great with humans and other dogs.

Freya woke up this cute...

This cutie was found tied to a tree in rural Idaho and most likely a Great Pyrenees/german Shepard mix. She’s already HUGE at 4 months old. Thank you for sharing these photos

Not every pup is lucky enough to have a forever home. That's where. Lucky Pup Rescue, Inc. comes in, they are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established for the purpose of re-homing dogs in need.

Lucky Pup Rescue believes that all dogs deserve a safe and happy forever home regardless of breed or where they are from. Their mission is to find the best match of forever family so that the humans and their canine buddies will have a long, happy life together.

First, dogs come into one of our foster families where they learn house manners, become comfortable with new experiences, and get their needs met while being assessed to help us in making that special forever match. This rescue is based in southern Maine, but does not have a physical shelter as they are a foster based rescue.

We are proud to say has found permanent homes for more than 2000 dogs since January 2008.

For July & August every product sold will help support the animals at 🐕

Coco is a complete cuddlebug 🫂

She does great hanging out with dogs big and small, but if a dog on a walk doesn't come to say hello, she will bark in excitement. 🐶 She loves to play with toys, is very attentive, and is potty trained. A family would be lucky to have her! 🍀

how many dogs can you foster at a time?

The only limit of how many dogs you can foster at a time is how many your apartment or house will let you have. Some states also have limits to how many pets you can have in a household at a time. The last factor to how many you can have at a time is how many you have time to take care of. For our household we find 3 dogs to be the perfect amount but every household is different.

Redds came into a local shelter completely emaciated.

For a dog his size, he should have been 60-70 lbs and was barely 30 lbs upon intake. Thankfully, with time, love, and an amazing vet / fostering team he has come a long way and is now a big healthy boy! 💪

As far as his personality, you would have no idea that he's had such a rough start. He has a zest for life that he has shown to everyone who meets him. He loves balls...seriously, LOVES them. He will carry one everywhere he goes. On a walk? Got a ball. 🥎Going to take a nap? Got a ball. 🥎Going to get a snack or eat dinner? Got a ball.🥎

Dumped on the side of the road…

This is Reese’s Story from ‘s point of view

Reese and her 3 siblings were found dumped on the side of the road at just 2 months old! They were taken to and I adopted Reese when she was 3 months old! She picked me! I originally went to meet her sister and her sister was WILD- she ran off as soon as I got to meet her/pet her. I then asked to meet Reese and she immediately laid up against me and I knew then, she picked me!

One tiny hack that helps shelter dogs…

Take them out on a day trip! Did you know some rescues let you take a dog out for a day, whether it be for a walk,shopping trip, or to your house to relax on the couch. This is the perfect idea for people who can not foster dogs long term. You can just take them out for the day it helps them get out of a kennel environment for a bit.

Abandoned at a Walmart…

Meet Mopsy, a 3 month old male weighing in at 12lbs. He has a brindle short coat,mixed breed puppy. Dog friendly 🐕 and cat friendly 🐈 The best part? Is that he is up for adoption through

You might be surprised...

Did you know animal shelters and rescues are forced to get rid of items they can not use this can be a tremendous expense to dispose of items that are dropped off that they can not use. Disposal fees take away funds that could be better used for animal care.

Always be sure to ask your animal shelter about what they can/ can not accept as every shelter is different.

However, here is a list of things we have found many animal rescues can not use⬇️

⚠️ Unsafe materials Items that could potentially harm animals physically, such as sharp objects, small items that can be swallowed, or materials with choking hazards.

🦴 Expired or opened food Donations of expired or opened pet food can pose health risks to animals and are generally not accepted.

🦠Dirty or used bedding and toys. While donations of clean and gently used bedding and toys may be accepted by some rescues, dirty or heavily used items can harbor bacteria or parasites.

🛋️ Some rescues may have limited storage space and may not be able to accept large items like furniture or equipment unless it's been prearranged.

It's always best to check with the specific rescue organization regarding their donation policies before dropping off items.

Stop Scrolling, you need to know about $2 Tuesday…

$2 tuesday is a thing that helps many animal rescues. You simply just take a minute or two out of your day to donate $2 to your favorite animal rescue. If you even did this just once a month it helps greatly imagine 2,000 people donated $2 once a month to an animal rescue in the end thats $4,000 and if they donated every week that would be an $16,000 for animal rescues to help and only $8 out of your pocket per month.

Meet Laila’s Legacy Animal Rescue ⬇️

Laila's Legacy was founded with a mission to ensure that every homeless dog - including those with behavioral or physical challenges - that comes through our doors has a chance at a better life while educating the public on breed bias, individualistic training, and the importance of spay-neuter to lower the impact of returned, rehomed, and abandoned animals in shelters across the United States.

They need help...

Out rescue of the month had to take their pup Sally Carrer to the vets! Her spay incision reopened, and they wanted to check on her leg to ensure everything is healing as it should!

The estimate is 558.40!

She is looking 👀 for a home and the sweetest girl ever! Her splint/ cast doesn’t slow her down! She will make a full recovery and loves other animals! Plus, she is the cutest baby ever …
