On Friday May 9th my mom reached out to a friend who had posted on Facebook that there was a dog tied up outside her work. She didn't know what to do with me and I had been there all day! Mom quickly called up her crazy rescue friend Kristina and they came and saved me right away! My first ride in their car proved to be eventful. I wouldn't sit down, I ran from window to window and made sure to dr
ool all over the back seat. Kristina even took a picture and said something about a "Freedom Ride". Through extensive research, she discovered my micro chip was registered to two disconnected phone numbers and an address that was vacant and up for rent. It also meant she had to sign up for a LinkedIn account to track my previous owner - which now she's harassed on daily! I was a city boy on the run! Mom brought me home that night and told Dad "Tomorrow I'll take him to the SPCA...". As dad started to play with me, he began to realize what a cool boy I was! I love to snuggle, I love other dogs (and cats!) and I'm super calm. I'm a well rounded fellow, if I might say so myself...
Mom and Dad then decided to keep me around for the weekend while trying to rehome me since it I had been abandoned. Of course, Dad fell in love with me so fast, he decided I needed a name. They decided to name me Mosley, after CJ Mosley (ROLL TIDE!) the Alabama Line Backer who had just been drafted to the Baltimore Ravens (CAW!) the night before. (Mom and Dad LOVE football!)
Mom took me on my first vet visit that Monday who determined I am approximately 7-8 years old and have an underbelly full of "growths". One was particularly large and that silly vet suggested it should be removed sooner than later. How in the world were they coolest parents in the world gonna pay for that?! They set up a fundraising page and within 8 hours raised all the money necessary AND MORE so that I could get back to my fun loving, bouncy self (and make sure I didn't have the big "C")
Mom and Dad were so awesome at giving me a new lease on life that I often hear them tell their friends I'm a "blessing" (whatever that means!) and that they want to share me with other people! Sooooo Mom took me to this place called Pets on Wheels and now I'm a therapy dog! This page is all about my adventures as a therapy dog and the joy I bring to others.
