Baby 3 - first try of milk. This bub seems to be feeding fine from mum but seeing as I had extra milk out I offered him some also - and as you can see he happily accepted an extra feed.
It's important to monitor new babies to ensure they're feeding properly and gaining weight. I noticed 2 of the Valentine's Day bubs were a little thinner than I'd have liked so offered them some milk and straight away they began feeding.
Mum has milk and is a wonderful mum in looking after the litter, but sometimes babies just don't latch properly or don't have a strong enough sucking reflex to get enough milk out. I'm glad I am able to help mum out to ensure these bubs thrive.

So giving a heavily pregnant sow in the cage beneath some calcium syrup and old girl Butternut Pumpkin always likes to have a try of whatever is on offer.

Someone seems to think chewing on the water bottle spout makes the hay arrive quicker 🙄🙄
But, I guess in his mind he chews the spout.... the hay arrives.... (not realising he'll be receiving some new hay regardless).
