Om nom nom - less than 24 hours old and enjoying nibbling on a small piece of hay/chaff he found kicked out of the food bowl 🥰
[Video #1, it wouldn't let me add both to the same post]
Oh my... someone is adorably cute 🥰
Less than 24 hours old and melting hearts already

I've had a baby boom of boars born in recent weeks, so if you're after one (or two) as a pet to add to your family send me a message
Sounds like it's time to feed the guineas!
Update on the lil bufflets.... the little one is doing well, I've offered some supplement milk feeds but he's not interested in taking any so that's often a sign they're successfully feeding from mum. He's a strong willed and independent little bub, so hopefully shall continue to thrive 🤞
(often smaller/weaker pups don't have a very strong sucking reflex so don't receive enough milk directly from mum to sustain - so offering supplement feeds are advised until you're certain bub is feeding without the need of any assistance).
Had these two cute little bufflets born today, this video they're about 30 minutes old and big bub is sucking on the ear of the little one 🥰
Very different in size comparison with the larger one being 94g and the small one a super tiny 46g. I'll be keeping a close eye on the little one, it'll be touch and go but I'm keeping fingers crossed 🤞
Size comparison photo in the comments as FB wouldn't let me post a video and photo together
Cant thank Melanie from Bumbora Cavy Stud enough for sending me this gorgeous girl. Not that I needed another cavy for showing, but I was suckered in once I saw a photo of her 😍 and knew she had to come stay with me.
I've had nothing but positive feedback from all the judges so far. She has the most superb coat for a young sow, no flatness anywhere, and it is incredibly springy already.
In her short show career she has already won 2 Best Coarse Coat and 2 Reserve Coarse Coat awards (in large rex and abyssinian classes). Can't wait to see how she matures and presents with an adult coat.
Got this video while preparing her recently for an upcoming show.
I had the pleasure of judging the Queensland State Titles yesterday, one of the biggest shows in Australia - check out this fabulous marked line-up I had 🥰🥰
Best Marked - Black Dalmatian
Reserve Marked - Black Roan
Someone was curiously hanging out of her cage to see what the commotion was in the cage below .... seems this little one appeared quite tasty 🤭 silly girl
(And no, before anyone jumps up and down about it she didn't make contact and actually bite the baby)
💝 First Suppliment Feed 💝
(Video #3)
Baby 3 - first try of milk. This bub seems to be feeding fine from mum but seeing as I had extra milk out I offered him some also - and as you can see he happily accepted an extra feed.
It's important to monitor new babies to ensure they're feeding properly and gaining weight. I noticed 2 of the Valentine's Day bubs were a little thinner than I'd have liked so offered them some milk and straight away they began feeding.
Mum has milk and is a wonderful mum in looking after the litter, but sometimes babies just don't latch properly or don't have a strong enough sucking reflex to get enough milk out. I'm glad I am able to help mum out to ensure these bubs thrive.
