We have had quite a few very expensive pups lately and these two won’t be an exception. They visited our fave cardiologist @ MedVet Columbus on Tuesday and we received both good and bad news: both will likely need surgery to correct pulmonic valve stenosis BUT with surgery they should be able to go on to live their best normal happy puppy lives! Most pups we get with heart defects are non surgical making their prognosis a little less favorable so we will call this a win. The expected cost of their surgeries will be around $6k each. Any donation to help would be great appreciated ❤️

This sweet girl has been with us coming up on a year in August! How can that be?!

We are uncertain of Katie’s age since she came to us from a breeder who didn’t give us any details about her. She does have cataracts but that doesn’t slow her down much. She’d love another dog pal to keep her company.

2-year-old Earl is as smart as they come! A breeder surrender, Earl has quickly adapted very well to the food, bathroom and sleep schedule of a pampered pet. His foster mom says she is incredibly impressed by how fast he picks things up!

In addition to getting straight As in obedience, Earl is best in class at getting tummy rubs, wrestling with other dogs, and chewing on tennis balls. Apply to adopt this bright overachiever on our website!

Our Bruce Wayne may not have a Batman alter ego, but he's a great guy to have around! Bruce's foster family describes him as easygoing, silly, affectionate, and a little bit clumsy. 😂 He's a play hard/sleep hard kind of pup, and loves romping with other dogs and then snuggling up with his people for a nap.

Meadow may look grumpy, but we swear that face is just how she shows her love! 1-year-old Meadow absolutely LOVES people, especially kids. When the kids in her foster home get up in the morning, she's so excited that she gets the biggest case of wiggle butt we've ever seen. You'd think she'd been separated from them for 800 years, not 8 hours!

When many mill dogs come to us, they’re pretty shutdown - like this one hiding in the corner. They need a safe place with understanding fosters to help them build their confidence before being adopted. We very much need fosters - please consider applying on our website! Posie came to BBR when she was just a tiny puppy. Now, she's an adorable slightly bigger puppy! At just 9 months old, Posie is a playful gal that loves playing with other dogs. She's great with cats and kids and will do just about anything for a snack!

As promised, here’s a few pics of some of our newest intakes yesterday. They’re all getting checked out today to determine their medical needs.

Sadly most puppy mill dogs come without so much as a name. We are working on changing those numbers to names too!

It’s been a trying day. We took in 13 breeder surrenders and a few aren’t doing so well. One is at @ the ER vet for heat stroke and the black and white pup pictured has aspiration pneumonia possibly secondary to a tracheal issue. Along with our vet partners, we will try to do what we can for them but could use your help 💸

We will share more pics of the others as we have them.
