St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach We are a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) Nonprofit and Resource Page for St. Louis, MO and surrounding areas. Please "Like" our page and share with others! St.

Louis Feral Cat Outreach is a 501c3 organization (tax-exempt nonprofit). We are a TNR resource group. We do not have a facility and we do not intake cats or have an adoption/foster program. We loan traps to people to do TNR or to get cats and kittens into no kill rescue groups. Our page is a resource for trappers, caretakers/feeders, and cat lovers dedicated to Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) in

St. Louis, MO and surrounding communities. We believe that TNR is the best and most effective approach to cat overpopulation.

🌎Today is World Spay Day. This day we bring special awareness to the critical crisis of pet overpopulation but remain hopeful that we are making progress in a positive direction. Euthanasia rates ARE decreasing, and society is understanding that spay/neuter is the most sustainable and cost-effective method to break the cycle.
‼️By raising awareness, we aim to create a world where fewer animals end up in shelters, homeless on the streets or face euthanasia.
🐾Let's celebrate our progress along with striving to expand our reach. Please consider making a donation, big or small, as together we can make a difference. https://opspot.org/donate/
🫶Thank you!

Not able to go out and TNR but looking for a way to help contribute? Interested in sponsoring monthly, bi-monthly or donating whenever and however you can? Well here’s a breakdown of the cost of TNR!

$60- the average cost per cat to be fully ran through TNR. This cost included the spay or neuter, vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP when available), an ear tip and a microchip implanted.

$25-the average cost of a rabies vaccine (and FVRCP when available)

$5-the cost of each microchip we bulk purchase
(When we purchase in bulk 2-3 times a year, we pay $4 THOUSAND dollars EVERY time we purchase).

While we are incredibly grateful for these low cost rates, that amount adds up quickly. Your continued donations are what help us help the cats.

Hey all Collinsville IL has an outdated ordinance that prohibits trap, neuter and return. It not only costs cats lives, it wastes taxpayer dollars. Folks are running for city council NOW! Please go on their page and ask them if they support changing the ordinance. If you live in Collinsville, now is the time to pick up the phone and call them or tweet them too. Politics is not a spectator sport. The cats need all of you to take action. Madison County, St. Clair County, Belleville, Alton, etc. all allow TNR. Why not Collinsville?

At STLFCO we Love love and helping community cats. What we don’t love are community cats contributing to overwhelming shelters and adding to the population of community cats. For a $25 contribution we will attach the name of your choosing (please no slurs etc) to a community cat trapped now through Sunday February 16th.

As we get closer to Spring and the inevitable kitten season, we are preparing with a $5 Friday for the Ferals!!!

There are kittens trying to survive outdoors RIGHT NOW! And that's why St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach and our dedicated volunteers never stop. If the temps are safe enough to trap community cats, well then community cats will be trapped. They will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and eartipped. This changes their quality of life more than we can put into words.

We love working with and educating the community on the benefits of TNR. Thank you to those who jump into the process and trap cats on their property or in their neighborhood.

Remember: if you see kittens outside, it's likely mom is hiding or hunting somewhere close by - leave them be! Having mom is their best chance for survival. Reach out to St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach and we can loan traps to get the ENTIRE family.

All of the surgeries cost money. We will be kicking into high gear in a few short weeks. Help us make sure that our bank account is as prepared as we are.

So many ways to make a contribution

Thank you to Animal Control and Maryland Heights Police Department for supporting our efforts with this generous donation.

This money will help us spay/neuter a lot of community cats before they can reproduce in Spring!

It’s great when the community comes together
🎉🐈‍⬛❤️🐈

The Maryland Heights Police Officers Association proudly presented St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach with a check for $500.00, thanks to the success of our Paws & Claus event in December!

The generous support of our residents who participated in the event made the donation possible by bringing their pets to be photographed with Santa Claus.

This donation will help make a difference in the lives of cats in need throughout our community.

We look forward to hosting another Paws & Claus event and continue supporting important causes like this one.

We hope every human and every animal in our community and beyond is having a wonderful holiday season! As we look ahead to 2025, we are calling anyone who supports our mission to donate on this $5 Friday!

While it’s true that kitten season is in Spring, they really NEVER stop. Calls pour in all year long. And that’s why if weather conditions permit and temperatures are safe enough, our volunteers never stop either. TNR continues all throughout the year in every season.

We hope to focus on everything else trapping and TNR requires and not be worried about the bank balance come Spring. Wondering if we have enough funds to cover surgeries and vaccines. It’s the time of year that Spay Neuter is so so needed and important. In Spring when vulnerable little kittens appear everywhere. If we continue surgeries from now until then, we hope to prevent as much of that unnecessary suffering as possible. And it can reduce the inflow of kittens to local rescues and shelters. Which we know, they’ve already had a really tough year in 2024.

Please help by donating a few dollars to make a huge impact on the wellbeing of community cats in our area. We thank you so much!

The holidays are a perfect time to reflect and appreciate all you have to be thankful for. St Louis Feral Cat Outreach is doing just that. We can’t do what we do for the community cats without the support of our COMMUNITY! And you stepped up in a big way, especially over the last few months. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.

We hope to continue to grow our efforts for TNR surgeries in 2025, so there’s no slowing down! We will continue our volunteer efforts to make feral cats lives as good and comfortable as they can possibly be.

Thank you to each and every caretaker, who looks after the wellbeing of local cat colonies.

Thank you to our army of volunteer trappers who spend their time and energy to assist caretakers in trapping cats and kittens

Thank you to all of the rescue partners, who take kittens into their care so we don’t have to return them outdoors.

Thank you for the financial support for our nonprofit to allow us to continue this work!

Cheers to a joyous Holiday Season and an amazing 2025! 🎉

GOOD MORNING! Rise and shine and help us celebrate the first ever $5 Friday! This one goes to the ferals.

St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach is frontline defense in efforts to prevent overpopulation of homeless community cats. We are an all volunteer organization. No one is paid for their efforts and every single penny of contributions go to TNR efforts. Surgeries are expensive. We also incur cost for traps/microchips/flea medication/occasional medical treatment and the list goes on. This year has been rocky. There have been concerns about being able to pay for previously scheduled surgeries.

If everyone who supports TNR efforts would donate $5, just five dollars on this first $5 feral Friday, it would mean everything for the community cats we’d be able to assist.

Thank you from us and all the eartipped cats out there!

We are currently wrapping up the last spay/neuter clinic of 2024! In addition to every fortunate cat in the room today, just for fun, we researched total numbers for the last 5 years. From 2020 to 2024 - 3265 cats have been fixed and given a better life after TNR surgery. It takes a village!! A huge thank you to the lovely people we are lucky enough to collaborate with!

And thank you to all of the dedicated St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach volunteers and trappers.

Appreciation for the caretakers looking after all these cats. Future appreciation to the rescue group we’ll be able to coordinate with for rescue for the kittens brought into the room today. Adorable pics included.

TGIF! Let’s celebrate. Feral Friday!

If you have done TNR on community cats in your neighborhood then you are the solution. You have helped reduce nuisance behavior such as howling/fighting/spraying. You have helped reduce suffering of additional litters of kittens born outside. Your colony is happier and healthier for your efforts. Let’s see some of those eartipped and happy cats!

It’s a great day at Thomas Dunn Learning Center! We are here with so many cats in traps getting their spay/neuter surgeries/microchips/eartips and vaccinations. Thank you Operation SPOT crew for providing this amazing care for the community cats. Our volunteer trappers worked their tails off trapping these cats so they can live longer, happier, healthier lives while not producing kittens born out in the elements.

But the collaboration can’t stop there. We need your help. As a small nonprofit, increasing the number of animals we fix all the time, we need financial support. We have enough money in the bank to cover the cost of this clinic. But we’re doing it all again next weekend!! 11/17 will be our last clinic with Opspot for 2024! We haven’t been in a very good position financially for the last part of this year. Please help us finish the year strong!

Next weekend approximately 40 community cats will be fixed. Our cost is $55 per cat. Price tag of $2,200. We are asking for a donor to help us and cover this clinic. Or if you can divide and conquer with a group of friends to cover, it is so needed!

The kitties and the all volunteer group of St. Louis Feral Cat Outreach need you. Thank you for all of the support.
