We are resting up and waiting on puppies. Addie is doing a lot of sleeping and resting and trying to get comfortable. Sister is checking on her and staying nearby. Cory is also curious about what’s going on.

IT’S JUST HAIR.
These are all pictures of Adelaide.

I often hear “I don’t want a poodle because I don’t like the froo froo haircut.” It’s just hair! You can cut the hair however you like.
You can do a continental show cut, a shave down, a teddy bear cut, or any hairstyle you like. Thats the cool thing about poodles. You can change it up and make it however you want.

Expecting puppies in solid black, black and white abstract, and black and white parti.

Both dogs have wonderful temperaments. Adelaide has a sweet temperament. She loves to cuddle and is my velcro dog. She is quick to learn and wants to please. She enjoys obedience and sports.
Gus has a sweet, fun personality. He likes to work and enjoys doing retrieval and nosework. He also loves to sleep in and lay around the house.
Adelaide and Gus are both medium-high drive with good “off” switches.

Puppies will be raised in my home with ENS, ESI, and Puppy Culture programs. Puppies will start getting nail trims during the first week after they are born. They will start getting practice with grooming at 3-4 weeks old.

Puppies will go through temperament testing. They will go home at 9 weeks old with first set of vaccinations, will be dewormed, and microchipped.

We will be expecting some Addie/Gus puppies soon!
Vet guessed maybe 7-9 puppies. We will have an x-ray a week before she is due to get a better count.

I love this story.

Adelaide and Gus went on their date this last week!! 🩷🐾🩷🐾
Adelaide was very smitten with her boyfriend Gus. Things went well and we had several good breedings. Hopefully we will be expecting puppies!!! 🤞🏻
Adelaide will have an ultrasound to confirm pregnancy on August 12th. Estimated due date for puppies is around September 11th.
A huge thank you to Kim Smith of Artista Poodles for allowing me to use Gus. I am so thankful for her and all her help and experience. Everything went very smoothly.
These are going to be some amazing puppies! I am even more excited after getting to meet Gus in person.

Health testing should be done on dogs before they are bred. This is more than a vet check. These are specific tests done to ensure the dog is healthy and will not pass on health problems to puppies. Every breed has recommended tests they should have done. These are the tests recommended for poodles.
Adelaide and Gus have been tested to CHIC standards. They each have a CHIC number.

Are you interested in a Standard Poodle? The OFA, working with the Poodle Club of America, recommends the following basic health screening tests for all breeding stock of Standard Poodles:
- Hip Dysplasia (OFA or PennHIP)
- ACVO Eye Exam
Health Elective (one of the following):
- Autoimmune Thyroiditis
- Sebaceous Adenitis
- Cardiac Exam (Basic, Advanced, or Standard Congenital Cardiac Exam)

Dogs meeting these basic health screening requirements are issued Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) numbers. For potential puppy buyers, CHIC certification is a good indicator the breeder responsibly factors good health into their selection criteria.

Betterbred is a company that helps breeders breed healthy dogs. Its a tool that breeders can use to check and see how closely dogs are related. This helps prevent dogs from being in**ed, which can cause health problems.
