I’m sure some people look at my photos or even their own cat & think that it’s not the best grooming in the world. I’m not trained, but would consider myself a pro now after doing hundreds and hundreds of cat grooms. It’s definitely something that isn’t taught but vast experience. I’ve had cats lay dead still for me and other tear shreds off me and try and bunny bounce off the table. What I have learnt is some cats have certain fur that when you groom them they look picture perfect. Others have sticky fur, tricky skin & obviously constantly moving. Luckily it’s about the cat feeling better, not a fashion show. Some cats get “over it” by the time I get to back legs, tummies and bums so often they aren’t as perfect as I would like. I’ve very rarely had to stop a groom without finishing properly but always would if the cat gets stressed or to over it. Here’s an example of not a perfect groom 🤣🤣 but Calvin is the party trick for his families 🦕 🦖 party this week before going completely bald later 😻 I absolutely love what I do and love I can help animals and their owners 😻
