2024 ASC breeding is almost completed as many breeder birds have already started dropping feathers (molt). Juveniles are filling up the smaller flights. Soon enough, they will joined all the other ones in the big flight. Spring clean up will come sooner this year🧹

I’d like to personally congratulate Steve Baptiste, a very close friend of mine, a great mentor who was very instrumental to all the success I had in raising and showing American singer canaries. This past weekend, his time has come to win it all. Winner of many Higgins, this one will taste even sweeter as he finally won the prestigious Best Song contest award. I couldn’t held back anymore but to only express my joy and happiness for his incredible accomplishment as he did back in 2019 when I won the award. Thx for putting the ASC back on the map

Early morning start in the birdroom, the training process has begun. Cages are lined up side by side, Young birds have already started to sing which is a good sign🤞🏻

-Training birds for show-
Finally we have introduced young birds to show cages. On their first day, the cages are slightly slanted to the side so they can hear & see each other. For the novices, always begin with young birds first since they require more time to adjust. Our older birds will join the gang in 2 weeks. Our first show is within a month. Crossing our fingers for a good show season🤞🏻

We moved a bunch of ASC juveniles to the big flight today. Let them build strength. Only a few handsome one with no tails or missing feathers are left in smaller cages. None of them has never seen a bird bath or taken one before😂
With all the good care and proper conditioning, they will soon be going through a full molt, and we should see beautiful glowing feathers replacing the old ones. Sending good vibe to everyone for a good breeding season.
