Checked on the litters. I was looking over the oldest litter & noticed that I had a kit that looked an awful like her Grand sire. I brought her into some good light and really examined her. Sure enough, she’s a beautiful broken sable. I will get pictures of her. I love her markings. Too early to know about “show quality “ as that will take a few more weeks. She’s staying in my barn though. I’m finally going to have something to take to show 😂😂.

After having no litters for over a year and after changing feed, we are now having litters. Litter of a BEW to VC carrier chestnut doe. Litter of 4. 3 white & 1 almost copper in color. I don’t know at this age if any will be BEW or REW. Momma is taking good care of them. They are fat. Sometimes you get first time mommas, that will over-clean the kits.

We got our 1st litter of BEW French Lop bred to BEW French Lop litter. That was a mouthful 😂😂. She had a litter of 5. They should all be BEWs. It’s been a long year of no babies being born. Idk if it was the bucks or the does on strike. We had a litter about a month ago between BEW buck and tort. We have a litter of 4. They are adorable and are growing well. Two of them are broken patterns, 1 REW, and 1 black. The broken means that the BEW carries the broken gene. We changed feed and the barn is hopping again.

My heart is heavy tonight. This sweet girl that is the basis for my rabbitry is no longer here. She was an amazing rabbit too. She graced us many years with her antics & she will be missed greatly. Enjoy these pics of her & don’t get jealous of that dew lap ladies 🥰🥰
