My heart is heavy tonight. This sweet girl that is the basis for my rabbitry is no longer here. She was an amazing rabbit too. She graced us many years with her antics & she will be missed greatly. Enjoy these pics of her & don’t get jealous of that dew lap ladies 🥰🥰

Black Tort doe to WE French Lop buck
Came home from being out of state to another litter of French Lops born. 6 healthy ones. They are all broken. I swear last year, I couldn’t get a litter & this year, they are popping them out. Hopefully I will have kits to show this year. In the next couple of days, I’ll get videos of the little critters 😂😂
Look at this oldest litter of babies. I’m not the photographer doing this. I take awful pictures. This is a BEW French Lop doe. This whole litter is staying here with me. 3 BEW does, 1 chestnut agouti doe & a REW buck.
Had another litter of French Lops last night. I was checking them over & saw that most of them were White ear bunnies. I was asking hubby who did we breed her to. It was my WE Buck. I needed to get her bred before she got too old without having any kits. That will produce WE babies. I’m upset with myself though. I am leaving out of state so Momma is on her own. I have people checking /feeding twice/day.
With the weather cooling down, my crew is deciding to play nice & give me a couple of litters. This litter here was born latter part of the week. Also had a litter born today. Waiting on a couple more to deliver if they got caught!! Now the fun part to watch them grow
The French Lop babies are growing. Will be starting to wean in a couple of weeks. It looks like 4 girls including the chestnut. The REW is a buck.

The eyes are all fully opened now. Look how much they have grown already.
They look like little Polar Bears. Some are beginning to open their eyes. They have all decided that they want to escape from the nestbox, so I had Steve tip the nest box on the side. She decided that they needed a nest on the outside so she made one for them. She can also use the nest box to sit on whenever she wants a little break from her babies. She is one of the best Mommas that I’ve had.
The litter is about a week old now. I’m so excited to see them grow. In a couple of days, they will be scooting out of the nest box 🥰
Yes!! We had a litter of French Lops born tonight! First time Momma so we shall see how she does. Hopefully this will be a continuing trend since I have no juniors or intermediates that I can take to show right now.
What do you do when your buns go on strike? Of course, you show off buns of mine who went to live at other homes. The French Lop was one out of last year’s litter. I’m always partial to broken black. Look at his gorgeous head. He is hanging out with his new friend. Surprisingly, they get along as you can tell. French Lops are the best bunnies.

They are hopping around. I love the ears on the white ear baby. We are expecting a couple more litters but the does are being stubborn 😂😂. It could be that the bucks are being lazy too.
Their eyes are opened and they are hopping out of the nest box. I think they look like little Ewoks😂😂
Every bunny home needs to have a packet of Critical Care Herbivore on hand. Buy it before you have an emergency, whether you have just 1 bunny or a bunch of them. It has saved a few of my bunnies over the years.

The babies are all grown up & ready to hop. I think they are adorable. Some of them are blue-eyed. They are all Vienna carriers if you are working on clean lines for breeding purposes. The Vienna marked or blue eyed ones can’t be shown. If interested, let me know🐰🐰🐰🐰

If all goes well, I have finally reached the F4 on French Lop WE’s. First time Mom so we shall see how she does. It’s been a couple of years journey to get here. Let’s see how close to standards they are.

Had a litter of Hollands this morning. I always try to breed more than one doe so I have foster moms available if needed. It looks like the French are nesting so hopefully I will have some French babies soon. Last time, not a single doe got bred🙄🙄. Different bucks for each doe. I think they all went on strike😂😂😂.
