Throughout the season we will be bringing greens, fresh flowers, in house made wine vinegars, herbal infusions, and more. Pop by our stall on the East side of the park in Food Stall 76.

Our plant sale is TOMORROW! Pre-order is now closed, but there are lots of plants and secondary products for you to choose from in-person. Our starts have never been treated with pesticides or herbicides, and we are so excited to get your healthy garden growing!

You can park at Liberty Heights Fresh, surrounding street parking, and any available parking at nearby schools. Don't forget to grab your fresh groceries, coffee, and snacks from while you're there. We will see you tomorrow, 8:30am-1pm!

Our plant sale pre-order will close on Friday, May 3rd at 9am! If you want to pre-order your favorite varieties, now is your chance. But don't worry, there will still be lots of great options on Saturday, and some not-yet-listed items to browse (like our new spring tea jar, perfect for Mother's Day).

Announcing our second-annual Spring Plant Sale! This year, we are so excited to partner with to host this event. Their commitment to fresh, local produce and goods is something we’ve always admired.

We will have multiple varieties of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, eggplant, flowers, herbs, and more! We’ll be available to answer your gardening and planting questions, and can’t wait to help you grow delicious food this season. Come get your garden started with us and be sure to grab a cup of coffee, fresh groceries, or a lovely snack at Liberty Heights Fresh while you’re at it!

PARKING: Please park in the Liberty Heights Fresh parking lot of nearby street parking. We ask that you respect our neighbors and do not park in other business lots nearby.

We’re excited to be hiring for our Secondary Product Associate position!

This person will be an important part of producing and developing our secondary products. These products range from dried herbs and florals, teas, vinegars, and more! They will also play a key role in expanding our public pickup program, helping to increase Frog Bench’s reach into our local community.

With the cold weather coming, we are so excited to roll out our dried florals for your fall and winter decorating!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​New this season, we are offering dried wreaths. Each wreath is unique and handmade with materials entirely sourced from our farm. We also have "Weave Your Own Wreath Kits", which include a ring form and several bunches of dried flowers for you to create your own original design. A perfect fall activity to welcome the changing season!

In addition to wreaths, we have unique dried floral bouquets available in small, medium, and large sizes to fit any table in your home or business. If you're interested in something specific-- or building your own bouquet-- we have individual floral bunches available as well.

All wreaths, kits, bouquets, and bunches are available for public pickup on our online store. If you are a company interested in any of these products for your business, please contact us directly for wholesale orders.

The end of summer and beginning of fall mean that it’s time to harvest grapes on the farm! One thing we do to prepare for the big wine harvest is to prune off immature grape clusters to make space for our strongest grapes. Rather than let those grapes go to waste, we press them into Verju. This is a practice that has been documented as far back as the Middle Ages, and one we really enjoy on our farm! Verju is a more tart grape juice, but not quite as sour as vinegar. It’s a great alternative to wine vinegars or citrus juices for your recipe book. Starting this week, our verju is available to order online for public pick up. One thing we do to prepare for the big wine harvest is to take off clusters that would otherwise not perform well as wine. Once a season, we snip those grapes and make what is known as Verju. This is a practice that has been documented as far back as the Middle Ages. This juice is a more tart grape juice, but not quite as sour as vinegar. Try it out starting this week whether you order online through our public pick up, or reach out if you are a Chef for our Wholesale offering!....

Please be mindful of setting off fireworks this holiday weekend and all others. On the night of July 8th, our farm was damaged by illegal firework debris which destroyed one of our shade cloths—and it could have been much worse.

Urban farms and homes are at high risk of fire damage, which could affect our livelihoods and neighborhoods. We urge you all to adhere to legal firework sizing/zoning and to keep each other accountable in preventing such harm.

Our little flock was dwindling, so we brought in some new babies this past season. While the older ones left are not laying as much since it is winter, our new hens have just started. We can’t help but admire their egg-cellent color wheel!

We would not be here for 10 years without the support of our local restaurants and people in the community. They have been with us through the good times and the challenging. We love seeing you all take what we provide and turn it into beautiful and delicious edibles! The joy of having Chef’s on site tasting our delicacies while touring the Farm is beyond joyful excitement for us. Their eyes light up as they create a dish in their mind blending flavors and presentation. It is just one of many reasons we do what we do. We are not a grocery store, growing takes time. A lot can go right and a lot can go wrong, every day is an experiment.

Each day brings something unique to our plate. Something we are excited to bring back in the future is our nonprofit dinners hosted at the Farm. Each year we host multiple non profit dinners with the support of a local chef. We love having you all join us by the light of the greenhouse amongst the raised planters for an incredible night of good food and giving back to the community.

From the start, we had so much support from family and friends. They would help with plantings, creating and bringing food and helped make many memories along this adventure. We have always enjoyed trying to grow what others have said would be impossible to grow in Salt Lake City. Cultivating a place where curious minds can grow along side our plants. We offer tours for all that are interested which include students of any age, chefs, university groups, local garden clubs and more! The farm can be visited by appointment only gives individuals and groups a chance to have a unique and individualized experience! We are passionate about supporting education and environmental causes

We are over the moon to be celebrating 10 years here at Frog Bench Farms!

Since the beginning our farm has brought people together. Growing in a neighborhood, we wanted to create a common language of where our food comes from while also showing how a small local neighborhood farm could grow into a profitable business that focuses on sustainability and uplifting our community. With this anniversary we want to thank all of the amazing people who have helped get us to where we are today and also look back 10 incredible years!
