We offer a variety of handmade products from coats to booties for all shapes and sizes of dogs. Elizabeth Lovato, owner of Dolly’s Dog Boutique, has been sewing since 1998. Since that time, she and her sister, Angela, have made over 2,000 dog coats and booties. The sisters have sold their custom dog apparel to PJ’s Pet Stores, proud dog owners, and mushers who have raced their dog-sled teams in th
e Iditarod and Yukon Quest in temperatures as low as -40 degrees. Elizabeth’s family bred and raised Alaskan Malamutes. With each puppy litter, the family used common pet names such as Dolly, Frosty, and Stormy to tell the puppies apart until they found homes. When Elizabeth’s parents allowed her to choose a puppy of her own, she chose Dolly, the tiniest one of the litter. The family was actively involved in dog obedience training. Dolly achieved “Best in Class” during an obedience competition at a Canadian Kennel Club Dog Show in 1994. Elizabeth won “Top Junior Handler” in the same competition. Angela and her dog, Woolly Bandit, achieved “Top Obedience Alaskan Malamute in Canada” for 1995. Elizabeth recently moved to Denver, Colorado to join the love of her life, Jerome. With her new life, Elizabeth started Dolly’s Dog Boutique, a Denver-based business. The company name is in memory of her very special dog, Dolly.
