We will work with most dogs and persons in Obedience in our controlled environment. Our club caters to people who want to train their dog(s) in a controlled setting while following the club rules. The Barbados Working Dogs Association is a club that focuses on the sport of IGP (known as Schutzhund), which is a protection dog sport that encompasses the disciplines of tracking, obedience, and protec
tion.
This sport is the foundation on which military and police service dogs are selected and trained, and as such, requires a high level of control within each of the separate but connected disciplines. Our obedience level far exceeds the requirements of the typical pet owner. However, the fundamentals are the same. HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER

CLUB TRAINING
We are a safe place for our members to learn and compete in the sport of IGP. This sport tests character and willingness to work and learn, and that's just the members. If you want somewhere to excel in your training, check us out! Remember, dog training should be fun! GROUP CLASSES
During the year, we offer obedience group classes to the public. In our Basic Obedience and Well-manners class, you'll learn to sit, down, come, and stay. If you would like to find out more, please feel free to drop us a line. You can also check our Facebook Events page to see if any upcoming classes are scheduled.
