New In Town
I have been a professional dog trainer since 1999. I started in pet dog obedience and I very much enjoy helping people enjoy their pet dogs. Then on September 11, 2001 I was inspired to train search and rescue dogs and have been mentored by some great trainers. I train and handle SAR dogs and am looking for a new SAR team here in Maryland. I then apprenticed with a well known service dog trainer and learned to train service dogs for the disabled. I started my own company called Canine Assist in 2012 for that work. In the last five years I have learned from the best to handle and train detection dogs. I have several federal procurement contracts and source dogs for government agencies. I breed and train working dogs.
I have moved several times, most recently from Pittsburgh, PA to Frederick, MD. I am excited to create a new community here with dog owners in Frederick, Howard and Montgomery Counties.
I am offering several options for pet dog problems solving and obedience. I am also interested in doing specialty training such as nose work, search and rescue, agility and therapy dog training. I am also able to certify dogs in AKC Canine Good Citizenship.
