*Sighs*. Momma, when mew are having a busy morning, make sure mew get up earlier so my post is not rushed. The old girl was not moving fast this morning so this will be a quick post but to compensate, here is a video.
Still cold and we had enough snow to refresh what is out there but not enough to muck things up. Good. Momma has acupuncture at 8 and a furs cut at 9:30. She has not had a fur cut since before I went to the Bridge and she is doing her Cousin It imitation. If Cousin It had curly locks.
Back to the final season of Yellowstone last night and we get into the last batch of episodes tonight. They are looking forward to watching it.
Have a great tuna/tummy tickle/tongue out Tuesday. Be safe, warm, healthy and happy. I love mew.
Purr, trill, coo, chirp, warble, chirrup.
It is Meowday and that means a video to start your week. Don’t get dizzy watching meow go round and round and round. Pfft! At least mew get to see the great red hunter in all her glory.
I was in my glory over the weekend too. On Caturday after the family had turned off the tv and were spreading out. Daddy was in the kitchen. Momma was in the powder room. Scott was in the hallway by Princess. “Meow!!”
Did mew hear that? Yup all three of them heard it at the same time. Scott had just patted Princess and told her he loved her- which is really telling meow that he loves meow since she is my stand-in. I answered for both of us. And mew have never seen three happier and more giddy humans. Momma had asked the other day for a mice loud retort and when she least expected it, I complied.
*Snickers*. I do love do to surprise them. I get a furbulous reaction every time and it gives pleasure all around. It also lets them know I appurrve of Princess. It gives them a focus for love and attention and each time they talk to her and kiss her, I know it is really meow. That is why all three say when they look in her eyes, I look back at them. It is not quite as good as the real thing but it is an acceptable substitute.
I hope any surprises or substitutes this week are as pleasant for mew. Be warm, be safe, be happy and be healthy. I love mew.
Purr, trill, coo, chirp, warble, chirrup.
PS- two “new” movies last night. The 4K remaster of The Searchers and Momma’s new copy of What’s Up Doc. Eclectic and very entertaining.
I certainly would not need the cool tiles today to feel comfortable. It is cold and we have had so much of the white gunk. When Daddy went to take out the green and blue boxes, he said he figures it is close to three feet. We might get some more today but nothing like the last two days. OMC! Somepawdy turned on the snow tap and forgot to turn it off.
Momma’s got another acupuncture appointment today but I think they are going to postpone the Costco run until tomorrow. Thank Bast they will not be ramming the roads too much.
Princess is a huge hit, sitting on her perch, surveying her domain like somepawdy else we know. Every time somepawdy walks past her, they comment how they think it is meow and stop to talk to her and pet her. I am not sure if I am not a bit jealous. I know she is there ‘cuz they love and miss meow so much but I don’t want her to take my place. Momma says that could never happen. As mice as Princess is, she is not the real living, breathing, purring, meowing kitty. She is not meow.
They have now started Season 7 of Game of Thrones and it is interesting how mew pick up new subtleties in rewatching. They will be done in a few days and then on to another favourite. Or picking up on series that has finished or is finishing. There are a couple like Yellowstone and Outlander that will be ready. And then they will have less than a month before they leave on their powder.
I would be starting the guilt trip soon as Momma prepares. This year I will morph back and forth between wherever the ‘rents are and the palace where Scott will be. The pawties will go on and I am sure many of Scott’s fans will be happy to morph over and keep him company.
Speaking of the pawties, Caturday is going to be a welcome pawty for Princess so mew all can meet her.
In the meantime, let’s send out purrs to all the people struggling this week. The ones who are buried in snow and the ones whose homes are burning in LA. And anypawdy else who
Here is your Meowday video from way back when Scott did the Royal Court. I know mew will love to hear my sweet voice. My humans always did love that. And still do.
I have just been busy doing other things the last few days. Kitty things. Kitty at the Bridge things. I have not visited since Mew Year’s day. I have been doing walkabout or maybe morph-about and visiting my furriends in much warmer climes than the palace. It is far too frigid to hang around in the polar vortex.
I guess the poor geckos will be falling from the trees in FL. They are going to be super cold this week. Poor Floridians. They are not used to such frigid temps. I hope Momma’s gecko furriend George is okay. She is going to be in a different condo this winter so she won’t be seeing him.
Paws crossed for all those folks who were walloped by the swath of the storm that swept through the middle of the US. They have far more snow than us. We hardly got any compared to others and we heard the Great Lakes somehow protected our area from the worst of the cold. Pfft! Not quite sure how that works but I would hate to see what the others were getting. *Shivers*
The humans are well into Game of Thrones. Season 5 at the moment and enjoying it totally. Daddy got a new 4K copy of Hatari that they watched last night too. I am sorry I missed it. Those baby elephants are so cute.
Time to check my schedule for today. *Yawns*. So many places to go and people to see. Have a fantastic Meowday and be safe, warm, healthy and happy. I love mew.
Purr, trill, coo, chirp, warble, chirrup.
Pawpawrazzi! Constantly. I thought I would show mew a TBT video of them plaguing meow. *Chuckles*. I would harrumph a lot but I knew it was always because they loved meow so much. And now I am glad they have all those records of our time together.
Daddy got the first visit of 2025 yesterday. He was alone in the family room. Momma and Scott were in the library. I gave him an impatient meow- like I used to do when my stinky goodness was late. He heard it clear as anything. Momma was sorry she missed it.
But I did give her a meow in bed last night so she felt my presence too. She says it is a wonderful way to begin the year. And hopes I continue to visit them.
We had heavy snow yesterday morning but it melted. Then some fell overnight but not a huge amount. But everything froze so when Daddy put out the garbage and green and blue boxes, he said the driveway is like a skating rink. Other than getting the boxes back in after pick up, nopawdy is going out today. Stay in the palace. Mew get into less trouble.
Tomorrow Momma and Scott want to pick up a few groceries. Paws crossed it is not so icy so Momma doesn’t fall. It is cold and getting colder. But then, it is January.
The humans just finished season 3 of Game of Thrones with the Red Wedding. Fans will know what that means. Seeing the characters develop and foreshadow what would come is fascinating. Such a good show. Season 4 starts tonight.
I hope everypawdy has recovered from the festivities and this Purrsday finds mew safe, healthy and happy. I love mew.
Purr, trill, coo, chirp, warble, chirrup.
Time for the Meowday morning video. It is not time for more white gunk on the ground. Overnight the rain turned to snow as it dropped to around freezing. It is not much but it was unexpected. So were the gale force winds through the night. It sounded like they were in the middle of the Three Little Pigs. There was much huffing and puffing. *Grimaces*
But this too will melt as we will reach a lofty high of 5C. Things do not get nearer normal until at least Purrsday when the cold air makes an unwelcome return.
What was a welcome return was meow. I was all rested up from the pawty and visited Momma. I gave her a little chuff right into her ear. I sometimes like to get all up close and purrsonal. She loves it too. *Chuckles with affection*
Time for Momma to make breakfast for the guys. So I shall sign off and wish mew a very fine day. Be safe, be healthy and be happy. I love mew.
Purr, trill, coo, chirp, warble, chirrup.
Don’t know how the old girl got the camera into slow mo but she did. Please excuse the audio. It is very weird but mew get the sink lion being adored so it is worth the inconvenience. *Sighs with pleasure*
Momma had a soft touch on her shoulder again last night in bed and heard a quiet meow. I hope she is not expecting this every day. After all I have things to do and kitties to see. But I thought this week it would be mice to spend time with the family.
The warm up begins today. It is going to be 6C but double that- yes, 12C- tomorrow. 8C on Sunday and rain should help take care of whatever snow is lying around the palace. It might even begin to carve down the massive drifts in parking lots. It will not get cold again until January 2nd. *Pumps paw*
They all stayed in the palace yesterday. No reason to confront crowds. They got everything they needed to they could avoid them. Smart. I always told them to stay in the palace. Less likely to get into trouble. Besides, I had to snoopervise Momma when she made her meat loafs. One for yesterday and one for today and I got to sample both. No problems with garlic or onion any more…except if I had a “hot date”. Giggles.
I hope this Furrday proves to be pawsome and mew are getting ready for our early Mew Year’s bash tomorrow. Early arrivals are welcome. Be safe, be healthy and be happy. I love mew.
Purr, trill, coo, chirp, warble, chirrup.
I love our Meowday tradition of videos. Ceiling cat was one of the humans’ favourite games. Scott really loved when I got going.
Since this is going to be a rather busy morning and Momma forgot to charge her iPad properly yesterday, this will be a short post.
We were super cold yesterday but will crack the freezing mark later today. Right now it is just frigid. Pawsible squalls later today but we did luck out on the weekend and had hardly any snow.
Well into our Catmus movies now- Die Hard and Home Alone last night. Might try to get in three today.
Have a grand day and a great week. Be safe, be healthy and be happy. I love mew.
Purr, trill, coo, chirp, warble, chirrup.
Wrapped around my little red paws. Yes, I had them all wrapped around my little red paws especially the old girl. This TBT harkens back to the time when I would only drink from the taps and could jump onto the counters without benefit of elevator service. *Sighs*
I am able to leap anywhere I desire since coming to the Bridge. I am like a mountain goat lofting onto the highest perches with great ease.
My Shutterfly book that Momma put together arrived yesterday and she is pleased with it and my PastBook. She loves having a physical book she can hold in her hands and bask in my beauty.
There is a new picture on her phone today. She managed to do a screen shot yesterday but the funny part is it does not look like the picture she has on her screen. I won’t say it was but I won’t say it wasn’t the magic paw that achieved this wonder. *Snickers*. She had not even realized it until she went looking for the pictures to post this morning. Mew should have seen the look on her face. It was classic. *Chortles softly*
There are a couple of inches of snow on the ground again. Nothing much but the green is white. But the most recent weather suggestions are hedging on the white Catmus. We might have some mild and rainy stuff that would thwart the wishes of those desiring it. With the ups and downs of this year, it is anypawdy’s guess. *Rolls eyes and flips coin*
One more trip to the mall early this morning to pick up a prescription and some hair goop and then they will avoid it like the plague probably until the new year. But they will be back before the mall itself opens so they should avoid too many people.
I hope mew have got all your kerfuffling done and can do the same. Have a wonderful Purrsday and be safe, be healthy and be happy. I love mew.
Purr, trill, coo, chirp, warble, chirrup.
To continue our Meowday tradition, here is your video. It shows the agony I had to endure to get my stinky goodness. *Paw on forehead*. But like everything else, it was done with love.
It was three months ago today that I went to the Bridge and while I am delighted that I am able to go back and forth as often as I like, I know we all miss the interaction. These videos do make us smile. I hope they do the same for mew. Stinky goodness time was always a production. *Chuckles*
It never got too cold overnight and is 4C at 5:30. We will see 8C and rain later. Paws crossed it clears up much of the remaining drifts. It will get colder again by the middle of the week with possible snow towards the weekend. Hard to believe that next week is Catmus and the week later the end of the year.
Boy, what a year it has been in the palace. It was just around this time last year Scott was told he would be starting dialysis as his numbers were too severe to go without it. He began it in January with all the various procedures and went on the transplant list in March. And we all know what an unbelievable bit of luck popped up less than a month later when he got Kip. That was one April Fool’s Day phone call that was no joke.
And that was just part of the wild ride we all had- especially meow.
But do mew know what the wildest part has been over the last three months. More new fans have discovered this page and it continues to grow. Last week I hit 29.5K. Momma and I were worried that when I went to the Bridge nopawdy would want to visit any more. Mew proved us wrong and we are so chuffed. As long as mew want meow, I promise I will continue. Thank mew for your loyalty. All the comments and shares and interactions mean so much to us. *Blows kisses*
Have a marvellous Meowday and please stay safe, healthy and happy. I love mew.
Purr, trill, coo, chirp, warble, chirrup.
It is Meowday and I always like to start off the week with a video. Today’s shows the indignities I suffered when liberties were taken with my luxurious plumage. It was just one of the many things about meow that Momma loved. *Smiles indulgently*
I had visited Momma in bed the other night when I nuzzled her shoulder. She said she could almost feel meow afterwards doing MC blanket and fell asleep with a silly grin on her face.
The temps are above freezing and the snow has started to melt. Things should pick up with the heavy rain almost on our doorstep. It has been such a topsy turvy Fall/Winter. Case in point: on Caturday it was warmer in Alberta than it was in Florida. Look at a map if mew do not believe how bizarre that is.
We talked to Auntie Jacky yesterday and Darragh did not do too much harm where she is but along the west coast and south the storm was more than wicked. It was very destructive and now it is heading towards our furriends in Europe. Stay safe everypawdy.
Daddy got his Frank Capra boxed set which has every movie Capra ever made…some have been remastered into 4K. They started chronologically and watched two silent movies before returning to watch La Brea, which manages to hit on almost all the time travel/disaster cliches ever. Not great but entertaining. More of the same mix tonight.
Hope your week starts off well and that it finds mew safe, healthy and happy. I love mew.
Purr, trill, coo, chirp, chirrup.
Mew enjoyed my snow catching video much more than the humans have enjoyed the snow this week. So here is another video for TBT.
After a brief respite, the snow returned with gusto. We are now in the midst of a day of snow squalls and could see another 30-60cm of nature’s dandruff. I might have Momma take some photos from the house later today but suffice to say there is a lot of cold white gunk out there and more falling by the hour.
Thank Bast they have all the supplies required and they can hunker down. They finally finished Battlestar Gallactica last night and now must figure what next to binge. I was there watching too. Without anypawdy even close, I toppled Miss Kitty over while they were sitting there. Tee hee. Scott asked Momma if she did it and she asked him. Nope. Just little old meow. *Falls on floor in fits of giggles*
Have a great Purrsday and stay safe and warm and healthy. I love mew.
Purr, trill, coo, chirp, warble, chirrup.
