Doggy Walks:
One hour is only 15€ and there is no extra charge for more "difficult" dogs. Getting your dog regular walks and especially among other dogs has proven to correct behavioral issues but if you want your dog to be walked separately the price is only 18€. If you choose to use Ruby Walks dog walking service on a more regular basis (several times per week) the price per walk is reduced to
€50 per dog/week. Home away from home:
If you are going away over a weekend or even a long weekend it can sometimes be hard to find someone to watch your dog for you, not to mention it can be scary leaving your dog in a Kennel. With Ruby Walks Dog walking service you leave your dog in a loving home with a family. He or She will be given all the love, attention and exercise He or She needs. Your dog will never spend any time in a cage during their stay. Contact us to get a deal for your upcoming holiday via phone, email or right here on the site. Ruby Walks reserves the right to refuse dogs for pet-sitting and walking due to availability and safety. The dog that started it all:
Ruby is a lab mix that was adopted in April last year. She was living with a family that didn't have too much time for her. A very gentle little soul who had so much love inside her 7 year old heart. Being able to adopt and give her a new home was a new start for Ruby as well as her new owners. Not long after she had arrived in her new home a few fears made themselves apparent. Ruby didn't like cars, loud noises, other people, kids, cats or anyone touching her tail or hind legs. She was nervous all the time and even though she never whined or made a sound her tail was almost constantly between her legs. Ruby's new owners (Patrick and Maria) started giving her daily walks, loads of excersise and exposed her carefully and thoughtfully to the environments that scared her - giving her loads of praise and healthy treats whenever her ears perked or her tail wagged. It didn't take long before Ruby started coming out of her shell and soon enough her tail was standing tall, her ears perked and we found a new and very curious dog in her. For a 7 years old lady she was quite the puppy at heart and once she conquered her fears she became a happier dog. We have had her for almost a year now and Ruby is still a little nervous when we walk in areas with heavy traffic and she is still not very happy about older men who approach her in the streets - but she is getting there. Even wiping her paws clean after her walks is a breeze (something that would make her curl into a shivering ball when we first got her) and she is even happier if we rub her face with the towel afterwards. Ruby is the inspiration for Ruby Walks coming to life as we learned and learned quickly that long walks, proper food and loads of love can bring back life and fight off fears in a creature that is capable of unconditional love. I hope you enjoyed the story of Ruby and that you get to meet her some time.
